Will Clinton’s Sestak Denial Re-Open Calls for Impeachment?

The last impeached president has denied he helped another president commit an impeachable offense.
While stumping for Joe Sestak in Pennsylvania, Bill Clinton denied offering Sestak an unpaid government position as an enticement to suspend his successful primary challenge against Arlen Specter.
Clinton can be seen on a recent video stating three times that he made no such efforts. (See below.) “I didn’t try to get him out of the race,” Clinton said. “In fact, I wasn’t even accused of that.”
The ex-president had previously dodged the question altogether.
His comments contradict a memo the White House released in May to quell Republican charges the Obama administration had bribed Sestak to get him out of the race. It stated: “The White House Chief of Staff enlisted the support of former President Clinton who agreed to raise with Congressman Sestak options of service on a Presidential or other Senior Executive Branch Advisory Board. Congressman Sestak declined the suggested alternatives, remaining committed to his Senate candidacy.”
Any offer of a quid pro quo for Sestak to withdraw from the race would constitute an impeachable offense. The law prohibits offering a position, even an unpaid one, in return for “consideration” or “reward” for “any political activity.”
If Obama is guilty of making a direct political offer – which is the Chicago way – his attempt to undermine the political process would be more damaging than Watergate. Congress was poised to impeach Richard Nixon for covering up a burglary that in no way changed the outcome of the 1972 presidential election. But Sestak beat Arlen Specter in the Democratic primary and currently trails Republican opponent Pat Toomey, exactly the scenario the White House sought to prevent. Democratic advisers believed Specter, a five-term incumbent, stood a better chance at keeping the seat in their party’s hands.
Clinton may have another interest in impeachment besides empathy. Chatter has exploded in recent weeks that Obama should name Hillary Clinton as vice president in place of Joe Biden. A later impeachment could result in President Hillary.
Clinton’s implausible denials should infuriate Republicans, who remember his history of mendacity and verbal gymnastics. He proven himself adept at twisting language to ring out any semblance of meaning, as well as denying the undeniable without batting an eye. He deployed both these weapons, and a booming economy, to beat the Republican impeachment in his second term. Will their memory lead them to pursue the Sestak bribery story? Already Rep. Darrell Issa, R-CA, has responded to the denials with calls for further investigation.
The overarching question is: Will Republicans show more resolve pursuing Obama’s wrongdoing than they did during Clinton’s impeachment?

As you say, Nixon was impeached. Although the impeachment never did culminate in his formal expulsion from office, he resigned so in the long run the same thing was more neatly accomplished. A few years later, Clinton was impeached for FAR MORE EGREGIOUS behavior than Nixon's, but he remained in office to term end. Another few years later, Obama behaved VASTLY MORE EGREGIOUSLY than Clinton, but not even one of those treasonous cowards in the House even brought forth one stinking article of impeachment. What this demonstrates is that in the Office of President, the worse one's conduct, the less his chances of ever getting SPANKED. THIS we must change by any and all means necessary to get it DONE.
Democrats who claim to be Christians are not . The very platform proves that with its support of abortion and the homosexual agenda . Democrats who claim to be patriots who love their country are and do not . The party platform supports those who would make us a non-capitalist socialist state .Because they are without truth and honor regarding their goals nothing they say can be believed. Clinton probably did not try to get Sestak out of race. Clinton will use this to keep a tight hold on Obama. Clinton and Obama know real truth and if i read Clinton right he will hold his portion of truth and use it just when he wants to the most.
I suspect Clinton will dangle this over Obama's head because offering Sestak a job is an impeachable offense. Ironic Bill would then have Obama's head in palm of his hand. his testimony could lead to impeachment of Obama.. His testimony if played right could elevate Hillary into power.
We currently have a push for Hillary for VP. suppose she accepts and is made VP.then Clinton unloads simpeachable offense on Obama , Hillary become president.
Sorry, only Congress can initiate an impeachment. Remember Henry Hyde.. This is why it is every critical that Republicans take back Congress with clear majorities.
I'm with you on that. I pray regularly for this country and for the impeachment process to begin the moment Republicans walk through the door if they end up with the majority. In fact, it wouldn't offend me if they impeached everyone that could possilbly be impeached. That's my version of draining the swamp!

During a recent publicity outing, Hillary sneaked off to visit a fortune teller of some local repute. In a dark and hazy room, peering into a crystal ball, the mystic delivered grave news.

Yep ole' slick Willie is up to his tricks again. When will we learn that politicians, Democrat or Republicans are in it for the power and nothing else. We need new blood on our political process, the Constitution Party and the Libertarian Party are two great alternatives. The reason a third party cannot win is that the liberal media say so and we, the sheeple, believe them and will not step out and vote third party.
How about NO PARTIES AT ALL? Let's face it: by the time political parties (no need to name them, since ALL of them are the same in this regard) get done "vetting" and "producing" a candidate for the ballot, said candidate's brain has been removed and replaced by a robot computer that obeys the party. What makes this all the more sick is that both of our major political parties have been heavily infiltrated by the worst swarm of locusts on the planet: ONE-WORLDERS. We would be infinitely better off if ALL of our government offices, all the way from President to garbage collector, were staffed by random drawings from the names of American citizens who have REAL JOBS, have never committed a felony, and have never been in public office before. The benefits of this plan will be listed in my next post.

4) One-Worlders will have a much harder time at achieving a majority among our government, since a government (TRULY) "OF" the people, as opposed to "of" their party-vetted FAUX-"representatives" would mean that they would have to infiltrate of influence a majority of OUR ENTIRE POPULATION. Even George Soros has neither the money nor the resources to do that.
5) Proper humility would be instilled because EVERYONE in office would be a DRAFTEE, performing a DUTY, as opposed to making a posh political career for himself.
6) Since public office would be limited to a single term, we could save ourselves the expense of providing these people with retirement plans.
NO ONE in this CORRUPT Administration will allow an Independant Investigation to proceed and if you think it will I have some swampland for sale for you. OBAMA is a MUSLIM hellbent on destroying the USA as it was meant to be by our Founding Fathers!

I want the imposter out of office but not by impeachment. Remember Clinton (the zipper man )was impeached an remember he stayed in office. Pelosi will never let impeachment proceedings happen. 1) Impeach Obama and EXPEL him from office;

5) AMEND THE CONSTITUTION SUCH THAT NO SPOUSE OR EX-SPOUSE OF ANY EX-PRESIDENT OR SITTING PRESIDENT IS ELIGIBLE TO RUN FOR OR SERVE AS PRESIDENT. This final provision is of the utmost importance, as it saves America from a nightmare under Hillary or Michelle.

Here we go again. I did not have sex with that woman. Now I did not offer him a job. Why is he coming out now with that last statement and not say anything a few months back when the guy brought it up. I would not believe Clinton if he had his had on all the good books in the world. I remember in Ark. he told us all that if we elected him for governor he would not run for the oval office. Was not to long and he was out running. So one lie leads to others.
