Busloads of illegal immigrants are being shipped to cities across the U.S. in an effort to relieve overcrowded holding facilities primarily in Texas. With word of Barack Obama’s de facto amnesty policies reaching citizens in South America, the number of individuals willing to violate federal law to cross America’s southern border has spiked in recent months.
When residents of Murrieta, Calif. realized the latest shipment of illegals was destined for their city, a large group of locals decided to act.

The protest came after Mayor Alan Long expressed concern for the safety of the community upon the arrival of what would have been about 140 illegals.
After being flown from Texas to San Diego, Reuters reports the foreign criminals were put on a bus destined for Murietta. Upon arriving, though, it was clear the reception was less than hospitable.
In all, about 150 local demonstrators, many displaying American flags, stood united near the Border Patrol facility at which the individuals were set to be processed. As with countless other instances before, the illegals would have been released into the local community after receiving a deportation hearing date they would have almost certainly ignored.
Murrieta residents recognized this fact, though, and were determined not to let it happen in their backyard.
The human barricade blocked the three buses’ access to the facility as protesters engaged in chants making their position clear.

“Go home! We don’t want you here,” they reportedly shouted at the impending drop off.
Across the street from the anti-amnesty protesters stood several demonstrators representing the other side of the issue.
Judging from social media commentary on the protest, however, it seems clear the overwhelming public sentiment was with those standing up for America’s immigration laws.

Though police advised the group to break up, authorities declined to step in with force when participants remained united. Finally, nearly a half hour after their arrival, the buses reversed course and left Murrieta.
