What’s Your Problem With Voter ID, Mr. Holder?

Holder The Magnificent SC Whats Your Problem With Voter ID, Mr. Holder?

I guess I am one of those citizens who doesn’t understand what all the fuss is regarding voter identification cards. For as long as I can remember, I have always had such a card and cannot imagine voting without it. I certainly do not want someone else to vote on my behalf, and I would hope election officials would verify that all of the voters are eligible to do so. Besides, why should voting be any different than all of the other things we do requiring proper identification, for example:

* To operate an automobile.
* To register a vehicle.
* To open a bank account.
* To purchase or lease a house, condo, or apartment.
* To obtain a loan for a mortgage, car or anything else of substance.
* To start a job (needed for government reporting requirements).
* To apply for government aid or benefits, such as unemployment, social security, etc.
* To play or coach an organized sport, such as Little League.
* To be an adult leader in a Boy/Girl Scout Troop.
* To enter the military.
* To board an airplane or ship.
* To visit a foreign country.
* To purchase a gun.
* To make an in-store purchase using a check.
* To purchase alcohol.
* To visit a school campus, college, or company.
* To serve on a jury.
* To obtain a library card.
* To deposit garbage in the local dump.

That’s right, you need proper identification to dump garbage, at least that’s the way it is here in Pinellas County, Florida. There really aren’t too many things you can do without some form of identification. Yet, there are people (like our attorney general) who balk at requiring proper identification to vote in elections, one of our most sacred duties as citizens as well as  a task that is far more important than garbage disposal.

According to the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), 32 states require some form of identification for voting; 18 do not. Neither does the District of Columbia or our protectorates, such as Puerto Rico. In terms of the anticipated swing states for the upcoming election, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas require voter identification. However, New York, Illinois, and California do not.

Remarkably, Mexican citizens require a photo ID to vote in their country. In addition, the voter card has become the accepted way to prove one’s identity, to open a bank account, board an airplane, and buy beer. The Mexicans clearly understand the value of a valid identification card; why don’t we Americans understand? Is it because someone has some ulterior motive for voting? Bottom line: there is no valid reason for not having voter identification. It’s a no-brainer.

    In Illinois, voter identification cards are issued, but not required to be shown to vote. If they are going to issue them, what's the big deal to require they be shown?

    • Edwardkoziol says:

      Seeks you know why it's to rig the election just like having the black panthers stand outside of voting places with clubs in their hands approved by Holder and Oblameo.

  2. Kenneth says:

    Obviously the reason the Dummycrats do not want anyone to prove who they are is because of their great use of dead people, illegal aliens, jailed felons, being allowed to vote, and as many times as they can. They can't have their little playhouse ruined…..We the people are so dumb to allow this to go on.

  3. @JCLUVU22 says:

    Showing Legal IDs should have been in practice in all states years ago. And should be mandatory for all Voters Now!
    - Those who Do Not think IDs are needed to vote – are those who want to Cheat.

  4. @JCLUVU22 says:

    thank you Lord for Arkansas – to Vote I have to show my Voter Card and My Driver's license with my picture on it. – And my Voter Card Must show my current address.

    This crazy coon(Holder) we have as an AG is a ghetto bred dummy.This guy somehow believes colored people are to stupid to get voter ID cards.I think,coloreds and legal latinos are smarter then that.Holder and the democrats can't rig elections if you have a picture voter registation card.

  6. Liberty49 says:

    No lawful American citizen does not have at least one form of photo ID. It is required in so many transactions in this country, yes even the blacks see it as a necessity to prevent voter fraud. Our Attorney General has already proven that he is a racist and commits treason daily by not enforcing the laws of this nation that he took an oath to enforce. What is holding up Congress keeping them from charging him and removing him from office?

    • kimjim4042 says:

      The democratic senate is on his team…they will not hold him responsible. They agree with him. Get rid of the in Nov…GOP ticket all the way and if they dn't make real progress n the first 2 years, replace them in 2014 when congress and the senate come up again for election. We have tea party canidates in the GOP who will work for America. Let's give them a chance. We cound never do worse than what we have. God bless and keep on demanding voter ID.
