From Oklahoma City’s KOKH Fox 25 News Investigative Reporter Phil Cross:
Senator James Inhofe (OK-R) serves as a ranking Republican on a Senate Armed Services Committee and says our country has never been in such a risky position, especially from new terror groups like ISIS.
Inhofe said this about ISIS:
“They’re crazy out there and they’re rapidly developing a method of blowing up a major U.S. city and people just can’t believe that’s happening.”
The Senator said that cuts to the United States defense budget have eroded our status as a world super-power, and he blames President Obama:
“He’s going to have to come up with something that we’re going to do because they’re holding another hostage in place, and the problem is, the president, quite frankly, he says all these things and he never does them.”
TIME contributor Steven Sotloff is a journalist currently being held hostage by ISIS. Sotloff appeared at the end of the James Wright Foley beheading video released this week, where an ISIS terrorist threatened that Sotloff’s “life will depend on Obama’s next decision.”
Inhofe believes that groups like ISIS pose a threat to world security.
“ISIS, they are really bad terrorists. They are so bad that al-Qaeda is afraid of them.”
He added that ISIS is “undoing a lot of the good that has been done.”
