Video: Young Conservatives ARE Resistance 44

President Barack Obama thinks the millennial generation is in his back pocket.  Hence, the creation of the absurd Gen44 fundraising initiative that targets Americans under the age of forty whose aims are”to cultivate and empower another a rising generation of leaders for the Democratic Party.”  This is a part of the full court press the Obama administration has begun to keep their army of dependency zombies well fed.

If this administration and its youth initiative are successful, it would not only threaten the Madisonian foundation of limited government which is ingrained in our political system, but will expand and consolidate the pernicious dependency agenda of the progressive left.  As George Will mentioned at CPAC two years ago, liberals are willing to pass legislation that sacrifices liberty to equalize outcome. Hence, the proliferation of entitlement programs, such as ObamaCare, which liberals see as enhancing the public good.  It is a dystopian future that renders our constitution, the only obstacle of the liberal agenda, unable to constitute.

However, not all are inspired by the cult of this presidency.  Many are seeing that spreading dependency is not a facet of hope or change.  Almost a third of all the CPAC attendees last February were young adults.  Some are inspired by the late Andrew Breitbart and are joining the fight through new media to change the narrative and to make sure the last thing Barack Obama does in office is update his resume come November.

Justen Charters, founder and CEO of Dear Citizen, and Gabriella Hoffman, assistant editor of The College Conservative, are doing just that with their new Resistance 44 initiative that is in its infancy on Facebook, but will be a force to be reckoned with by the time our nominee is selected to take on Barack Obama and his billion dollar re-elect campaign.  It is comprised of bloggers, veterans, college students, political operatives, and people new to the political arena who are enthused to get into the fight and direct our nation towards fiscal sanity.  While a comprehensive strategy is yet to be released, there are six objectives that the group is focusing on:

  Exposing and vetting the President and his ilk with the intent to make a significant impact on November 6

-  Make conservatism look cool

-  Taking over social media including YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter & Vimeo

-  Debunking all stereotypes that young liberals put on conservatives

-  Getting young people and those who have never voted EXCITED about politics

-  Creating the largest voter turnout in U.S. History in the 18-40 demographic

Seeing the effectiveness of the Kony 2012 campaign, which is now the most viral video of all time, it gave Mr. Charters and Ms. Hoffman the idea that a similar initiative could awaken the youth and instill awareness to this president’s radical agenda to irrevocably alter the socioeconomic fabric of this country.  The aim of this group is to create a groundswell that hopefully wins over the youth vote for Republicans this year.  A move that the folks at the RNC have also begun strategizing for concerning engaging this key group in the president’s coalition.  I have no doubt that this group will have an impact.  It has been proven that utilizing new media, by stalwarts of the right, have changed the narrative by exposing NPR bias, criminality at ACORN, and politicizing tragedy for political gain in the Trayvon Martin tragedy. In addition, new media and the conservatives that participate keep the liberal media honest and policed for gross inaccuracies.  This energized group of conservatives are ready for war and the left better take notice because they’re coming after them.
