Video: WATCH Anti-Gun Senator Make A Fool Of Himself

Rabidly anti-gun CA State Senator Kevin de Leon (a Democrat from Los Angeles) made a real fool of himself at a press conference for his new gun control bill when he demonstrated both his command of the English language and the extent of his firearms knowledge

  1. I don't own a gun. HOWEVER, I do believe that any responsible person should be able to have one IF they want to.
I was raised around guns. I even owned one a very long time ago but sold it because I almost shot my daughter when she came home in the middle of the night without letting me know she was coming home from college.

Prior to this though….I had purchased the gun (the one I spoke of … because I had an intruder that tried to hit me with a hammer while I was sleeping. I don't know why I woke up just in time to see a dark figure standing over my bed with an object in his hand. He broke my foot and he ran.
I did find out who it was. It was a neighbor's kid who had already been arrested for raping a young lady at the high school.
The police told me that most crimes are usually people who either visit someone who lives near you…. and they watch you come and go, and make note of the time your lights go out at night.

      Hi Upaces88,
I am glad to hear that you are Ok now, and I glad that this kid got caught, I hope they put him where he belongs which is jail for a very long time.

I agree citizens have the right to protect themselves from these criminals and these politicians have no right to take that away from us, they themselves are well armed.

Where the hell did they dig up this guy,he looks like he should be riding with Poncho Villa or head of a drug cartel. He sure can't speak on guns when he can't get anything staight about them.I'll bet he is happy his bodyguards carry.Everyone should own a gun and know how to use it.

I can see the officers standing behind him didn't look too happy on what this clown De Leon was falsely claiming and trying to sound dramatic at the same time

Back some years ago when I owned a Class 3 Firearm shop and full magnum range, I had a new customer (turned into a long time customer) that came in and asked for the LOADED 'clips' for handguns.
I have never heard of a 'loaded clip for handguns' so I questioned him further.
I finally figured out he was asking for 'loaded magazines' for handguns as you see on TV. "You know. The disposable filled ones you see the cops use". I just shook my head.
At least I found a great opportunity, one of MANY, to have a teaching moment with the ill informed.
Over the years I taught him a lot, which in turn, he took this information to others.

  5. Nothing more disgusting than a politician who knows nothing about that which they speaks "educating" anyone.

Reminds me of Ralph Nader…an anti-GM attorney who knew nothing about vehicle dynamics "educating" politicians about how inherently dangerous Chevrolet's first-generation Corvair was…"Unsafe At Any Speed"…while those who knew about vehicle dynamics were road-racing those same Corvairs against Porsches, and beating them. :-)
