A paper ballot is the only realistic way to recount the vote if it becomes necessary. it's also the only way to limit voter fraud. The only way to eliminate voter fraud is of course, by use of voter ID. I say do away with electronic balloting and stick with paper.

Many years ago, in the late 1940's, my father worked as a laundry man, driving a laundry truck, and a (required) member of the Teamsters union in Chicago. Every election day, he was handed a pre-filled out ballot and an envelope of cash so he would vote for the union's choices. Paper ballots, and very easy fraud. I have never forgotten those days. Voter fraud happens no matter how the votes are placed. It is only by adhering to the laws and careful oversight by lawful people that fraud can be minimized. It can never be eradicated. Criminals will always find a way around the best protections.

After just listening to this presentation this morning http://www.westernjournalism.com/michael-savage-v… about how and where our ballots are to be counted for this up-coming election, we should demand going back to paper ballots! Contact your Representatives and Senators ajnd see if we can make it happen !

  4. Edwardkoziol says:

Very good idea but don't have some foreigners count them.If a person can't check a ballot right he shouldn't be allowed to vote.

  5. JJM123 says:

Kristen states "Voter fraud happens no matter how the votes are placed.". This is correct, but we should not make it this easy for fraud. I agree with Paper Ballots AND Public Witness/Verification of the count. Representatives of all running must be part of the Verification process.

    • JJM123 says:

The winning candidate is not placed in office immediately – so any delay in a proper ballot count is not a problem – next week is fine as long as it is true.

"Intellectual Property" of voting systems still owned by firm linked to Venezuelan President, despite press statement to the contrary
    of Diebold/Premier for $5 million.
Just another day in our bought and paid-for, fully privatized system of "public" elections in the world's once-greatest democracy.
But wait — the story gets still worse…
    Whose IP Is It Anyway?
Venezuela's Hugo Chavez is still tied to a huge percentage of U.S. Elections, as now overseen by a Canadian firm. http://archive.truthout.org/canadian-firm-buys-di

George Soros' Spanish company will count American votes.

  8. Irosin says:

I agree with the paper ballot because any electronic device can be manipulated. I equal the electronic voting machines to slot machines at a casino.

  9. Irosin says:

I DO NOT trust electronic voting machines. I equal them to slot machines at a casino. The software that is programmed into the machine can do whatever the programmer wants! The software may come from a George Soros company!
