Don't abolish the 2nd amendment. Just amend it. Just remove 'to bear and keep arms' and insert in its place 'to walk down the street without fear of being murdered'.
So then it'll appear,' …the right of citizens to walk down the street without fear of being murdered shall not be infringed'. What's wrong with that?
