Jim “Race Bannon” Bancroft was told by Barack Obama in 1980 that he was born in Mombasa, Kenya.
In this radio interview about his thirty year old memory, Bancroft recounts Obama’s admission. Bancroft was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps at the time and met Obama in the vicinity of Kalakaua Blvd., one evening in early August of 1980.
Bancroft has published the account of his personal meeting with the then Barry Soetero online at the Gathering of the Eagles Blog.
Bancroft writes in his essay:
He also told me something that I never forgot, for it caused me to do some other things in an effort to be nice to him and possibly a favor. We spoke of where I had been and the world as I saw it. I told him I had been to Africa , Mombassa specifically, and he said to me abruptly, “I was born there.” I told him he is not eligible to be president if that was true, but I remembered he said his mom was an American, so, maybe it was okay. But it was what I did after that makes this a true memory: I went back to the barracks and told others of this guy and suggested we all grab our photo albums and visit him again and show him pictures of Mombassa so he could see where he was from.
No one wanted to go, and at that time, my camera had failed me weeks before we hit Mombassa and it was late August or early September until I had borrowed someone else’s pictures to develop myself so I had copies of where I was. But I never forgot meeting that man for those reasons. I was going to do him a favor and show him his home country of birth. And I never went back for some reason, most likely I forgot to or just felt that a one time chance encounter would be meaningless to both of us and didn’t mean we were friends.
Bannon then closes his testimonial with the following observation:
In the light of what is called “The Birther” movement, these memories are still foremost in my mind concerning this. While I cannot swear it was Barak Obama, all the details I do remember of that chance encounter fit the profile of the man who some people claim is born in Kenya and others claim he was born in Hawaii . The man I met was about 18, thin, Mulatto, told me he was born in Mombassa, raised overseas, was living in Hawaii and hadn’t yet been to many places in the world outside of those places, mostly, hadn’t been to the mainland of America for any long time period if at all. And he openly told me he wanted to be President.
And I remember that face, the face of a young man who sat on a table to my right front, his hands resting on the edge of the table, him leaning forward, his smile, all teeth. It was Barak Obama. I don’t know if I’d bet my life on it, but I am willing to tell people openly at the risk of my ridicule. I was there, and saw him, spoke to him, and he openly told me he was born in Mombassa, Kenya, not Hawaii .

Funny, no one questions one big thing about the 'birth certificate', that's the part where they put his dad's race as African! Geez, I must be stupid, I thought Africa was a continent, not a race. And if they really wanted to prove it phony, just look at other black American's birth certificates, back in 1961 their parents race would have been put down as 'negro', not African.

This Marine is a very credible source and I don't see any reason to disbelieve him, given the fact that Obama is lying if his mouth is moving!

What you said was exactly my thought while reading Bancroft's account. When dealing with people who we know can be lying about anything/anytime we try to not have any interaction with them at all, if possible. It's EXHAUSTING keeping them accountable. I don't understand why all those in the Congress, and the Supreme Court Judges…Why are they sitting on their hands knowing this is a farce, mockery of the highest office in the United States of America and no one does not one thing to make this right!! Okay, I despise Obama just as much as the next person. And I am absolutely certain he is not eligible to be President (whether that is because he was born in Kenya, or at the least because his father was Kenyan and therefore not an American citizen). However, I find it curious as to why this Marine has waited this long to share this story — why didn't he make it public back in 2008? Or even 2009, after Obama was fraudulently voted into office? Why wait until now?
Way to much Obama hysteria at the time. Story would have got no traction You need professional researchers like Dr Corsi to provide some legitimacy to the story. Then the rest of the story unravels as has been happening here as well as with his autobiography.
For the simple reason that no one would have listened and would never have printed this story. Would you have believed it yourself way back in 2007 when he was campaigning? NO. I read about Orly Taitz and others who have presented lawsuits to keep him from being sworn in and they were quashed. Our GOP was well aware he was a fraud. I knew something was wrong when Chris Dodd announced they had an emergency meeting. They said it was about the economy crashing. I knew at that time, there maybe was someone/people/gov who succeeded at a takeover of the US. Dodd at the time said "it is so bad that we just stared silently at each other for 10 minutes"! I am convinced we have had a coup maybe by China since we owe them so much money.
More likely an Arabic/Muslim "coup", but a likely explanation, I would think. But, yes, I would have listened to all the evidence about Obama, even back then. It might have made a difference, or helped to do so, if he had presented it then.

It's pretty obvious where he was born especially if you read the great research done by Dr Jerome Corsi on the subject. Bigger question is why the law enforcement and intelligence agencies, especially FBI, condone this criminal activity. Makes it really hard to believe these agencies are in good hands at the top.
Every lying member of law enforcement, the government of any branch or agency who helped in this cover up need to be prosecuted. That goes for the media. All media outlets caught lying about this issue need to have their assets seized, those responsible or involved prosecuted.

The bigger question everyone should be asking is WHY NO ONE IN WASHINGTON IS WILLING TO ASK why previous Supreme court rulings, founding fathers papers that all establish that you must have 2 American parents to be President.
