I hope people will NOT stay home and come OUT and do the Right Thing, we need to take back our Country before Obozo Destroys it completely

    • Edwardkoziol says:

Linda I pray that the people will come out to vote out Dirty Dingy Harry as the speaker of the house.Tom Delay took a shafting and the republicans did absolutely zilch to help him.

      • Linda From NY says:

        Hi Edward,

Tom Delay was a conservative and perhaps that may be the reason why he got Shafted, I wish he was back as speaker of the House we could sure used him right now, anything is better then what we got

  2. Tom Delay did his part selling our rights out when he was in power, to erode our rights, so we are now in this position. He was not acting to safe guard our civil liberties, when the NeoCons were setting up the Patriot Act and other nonsense.

  3. Just get rid of the dirtbag NOW!!!!!!!!!! WE THE PEOPLE ARE MAY 16TH!!! because WE HAVE THE POWER!

Former House majority leader Tom DeLay, in October 2009, provided his views on Obama's place of birth issue, saying, "Why wouldn't the president of the United States show the American people his birth certificate? You have to show a birth certificate to play Little League baseball. It's a question that should be answered. It's in the Constitution that you have to be a natural born citizen of the United States to be president." We live in a time in which Martha Stewart, Scooter Libby, and Congressman Tom DeLay are convicted in federal court, not of criminal wrongdoing, but of insisting they were innocent after the government decided they were guilty. In DeLay’s case, it took seven grand juries to indict; the prosecutor kept impaneling new juries until he got one to say what he wanted to hear. Delay’s conviction was thrown out by an appeals court ordering a not-guilty verdict rather than a new trial. But the years lost to these people, and their shattered reputations and careers, are unrecoverable. Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, asked how he remained at peace through seven years of trumped-up indictments on perfectly legal behavior, criminal conviction, and eventual acquittal-on-appeal of felony charges, said he went to Congress not knowing his Lord and became filled with Him while there; he had no other explanation. DeLay now knows real power. The Bible also says His strength is perfected (2 Corinthians 12:9) in our weakness. The Christians who took down autocratic governments in the Philippines and throughout Eastern Europe had no resources other than prayer and forgiveness without giving up their convictions. God bless Tom DeLay.

What freedom? What liberty? Are you under the impression we have freedom in this country? Interesting you should believe that.

~The First Amendment is gone. We lost the freedom of religion a long time ago. We have recently lost the right to free speech with the signing of H.R. 347.
~The Second Amendment has been infringed upon a long time ago. We lost the right to bear arms as laid out in the Constitution with the passing of The Federal Firearms Act of 1938.
~We have seen the destruction of the Third and Fourth Amendment with warrantless searches, arrests with drones or the militarized law enforcement taking over ones home. The Boston bombing is one good example of this.
~The Fifth Amendment took quite a beating in the Zimmerman trial. Not by evidence but for the threat of violence of the mob was George Zimmerman arrested and charged. The attempt to imprison him still goes on to this day all for defending his life.
~We saw the Sixth Amendment destroyed with the drone killing of Anwar al-Awlaki and his 16 year old son. This isn't about whether he deserved to die, was a terrorist or not. What it IS about is two American citizens were murdered WITHOUT the trial afforded him by the Sixth Amendment. There have been more.
~We've seen many examples of Seventh and Eighth Amendment ignored.
~The Ninth Amendment is right now taking a beating in the courts associated with the monstrosity obamacare.
~The Tenth Amendment was usurped by SCOTUS. This assumption of power took place first in 1794 when the Supreme Court declared an act of congress to be unconstitutional, but went largely unnoticed until the landmark case of Marbury v Madison in 1803.
This is of the first 10 Amendments of the Bill of Rights.

So again I ask, what freedom? What liberty and rights do we really have? Complacency and fear allowed them to be taken from us.
The question really should be: Do you want freedom?

"They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." ~ Benjamin Franklin 'Reply to the Governor (11 Nov. 1755)'
