An illegal immigrant, who was released by U.S. authorities with a Notice to Appear, has been arrested for the alleged murder of a woman and kidnapping of children in the U.S. These alleged crimes happened after he was released by border authorities.
He is Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas from Honduras. He entered America illegally with children, but was released by Border Patrol agents.
Monterroso is one of many that have made it through the Obama administration catch and release program for “family groups” that enter from Central America.
According to Breitbart, Monterroso was apprehended by Border Patrol in June of this year with two children he claimed were his own. He told U.S. authorities he had family in Metairie, Louisiana. He was processed, given an alien registration number, and sent off with a Notice to Appear.
News out of Metairie, Louisiana (AP), confirmed that this same man, who was in Border Patrol control, now faces a second-degree murder charge in the death of his girlfriend, who was found bludgeoned in the bathtub of her apartment.
His girlfriend, identified as 24-year-old Heidi Monroy, is the mother of his 2-year-old child. An autopsy confirmed she was bludgeoned but investigators do not know what she was hit with, Sheriff John Fortunato said.
Monterroso was arrested in Katy, Texas, in a trailer park with three children. It is unclear if the three children are his or if they are just the same children he used to get U.S. Border Patrol to release him with a Notice to Appear.
Unfortunately, there are thousands more who are using this tactic to get into America illegally -all thanks to Obama’s catch and release program.
