Police stations from all around the USA are gearing up for a new plan for school shootings. The new plan is that after someone shows up at a school and kills a bunch of students and then kills himself, the police department will descend on the school in mighty force to scare the crap out of any children who were not injured.
What is wrong with this new plan other than the fact that it will not save any children? Well, that is the biggest problem with it; another problem is that they never think through the cause and effect of anything they do. And they will overlook any simple solutions that would really work. How long did it take for the crazy person to kill so many victims? How long did it take for the police to get there? Now you can see why simply throwing a little gasoline on a fire will not put it out. What would work, would be easy to do, and would not cost much money? I can think of a couple things right off the bat, and I am not even paid a lot of money to come up with answers.
You might have been wondering what the “AFCS” and “KJR” stand for and why.
“AFCS” (Americans For Common Sense): They find answers that will solve problems.
“KJR” ( Knee-Jerk Reactors): They do anything so it will look like they are doing something.
Consider this: I believe that every school in America has at least one intelligent person. Maybe the janitor, maybe the principal, or maybe one of the teachers. Find that intelligent person, and teach them the proper safety and use of a gun. Teach that person how to shoot a gun, and then make it known that every school in America has at least one intelligent person with a gun and that they know how to use it. Do not let anyone know who has the gun except for the person who has it. Every crazy or just plain old bad person in America will know that every school in the USA has someone trained to protect the students with deadly force if necessary. Because no one knows who has the gun, the crazy or bad people will know that it could be anyone in the school.
The next thing I would do would be to install a loud police siren on the top of every school, and each teacher would carry a remote button that could sound the siren. Now just think this through. If the bad guy was dumb or crazy enough to go to a school knowing about the gun in the school and not knowing who had the gun, he shows up at a class room, shows his gun, the teacher pushes the button in her pocket, and the alarm starts to scream. Even the crazy person would become confused, frightened, hopeless, and out of control. He will either run, shoot himself, or sit on the floor and cry for the 20 minutes it takes for the police to get there. In the meantime, within minutes of the siren starting to blast, every good American within the sound of the siren has arrived at the school and has the bad person surrounded. All the police have to do when they finally get there is to either remove the bad guy’s body, arrest the bad guy, or call for an ambulance to pick up the wounded bad guy.
Every time I hear about a new idea from the “Knee Jerk Reactors”, I think about the big fires they were started in the Western United States every year. A small fire would break out that six or seven firemen could put it out in twenty five minutes. To save money, the NJR sends only three or four firefighters. The fire would then grow, and the “KJR” would send out more firefighters, but never enough firefighters to put out the fire. The fire would continue to grow until the KJR would call it quits, and the fire would burn until it ran out of houses and trees to burn. The KJR would have by then spent millions of dollars, and the fire was still burning. So much for sending only a few firemen so they could save money.
This is how the AFCS would have handled the fire. When the fire was first reported, they would find out what it would take to put the fire out in two hours, then they would send in enough force to put it out within one hour. That is how you put out a fire and save money in the long run.
Anytime something really bad happens, the progressive KJR needs to feel like they are doing something. Do anything, just so it looks like they are doing something. They don’t care if it works or not, just so long as it looks good.
The way to stop good people, especially the young and defenseless from being killed by crazy people or bad people, is not to refuse them a way to protect themselves and the young people they are charged with taking care of, but to order them to carry a device they can use to effectively protect the innocent children that parents have been forced to leave in their care.
But all of this makes sense, so it is not likely that the mainstream of America will want to try it. There is a way to protect America’s children, but it is not what the Liberals want to do. Is it possible that it is better for them that something bad happens, so they can use this for their political cause?
A school shooting, just like a fire, is best kept from happening, instead of trying to fix it after the harm is done. The Republicans believe it is better to prevent it with a logical and sensible answer. The Democrats have always said “wait” to see if something will happen, milk all you can get out of it for your political party, then blame the Republicans because they were not able to prevent it due to the rules the Democrats put in place.
Arm a teacher and save a child. Prevent a teacher from being able to defend herself, and children will die.
