Van Jones is Back!

The House Democratic Caucus hosted communist revolutionary-group founder Van Jones just one day before he spoke to a student group funded by billionaire George Soros.
“Why are Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrat Caucus seeking out Jones’ counsel?” asked Guy Harrison, executive director of the National Republican Congressional Committee, in a fundraising email yesterday.
“They say a person can be judged by the company they keep, and that holds true for the Democrat caucus as well,” Harrison wrote in a fundraising email.
In September 2009, Jones resigned as President Obama’s “green jobs” czar after it was exposed he founded the communist revolutionary organization Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM. It was also reported he signed a statement that accused the Bush administration of possible involvement in the 9/11 attacks.
Jones was a featured speaker at a two-day national conference that began yesterday for a group that calls itself Campus Progress. Other speakers include former President Bill Clinton and Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn.
Campus Progress is a “project” of the Center for American Progress, or CAP, which is heavily bankrolled by Soros. CAP, reportedly highly influential in helping to craft White House policy, is led by John Podesta, who served as co-chairman of Obama’s presidential transition team.
Jones himself is a CAP fellow. On CAP’s board is Carol Browner, who directed the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy until earlier this year.
When her appointment to the Obama administration was announced in January 2009, Browner was listed as one of 14 leaders of the Commission for a Sustainable World Society of Socialist International, the world’s largest socialist umbrella group. SI calls for “global governance” and a world socialist order.
Jones starting ‘anti-Tea Party’
As WND reported, Jones launched a new organization two weeks ago that seeks to counter the tea party while petitioning for a progressive agenda that includes “making Wall Street and the super-rich pay their fair share.”
The organization, dubbed “The American Dream Movement,” is partnered with a slew of radical groups funded by Soros.
WND was first to report the movement was introduced using subversive tactics, particularly a hoax Youtube video in which it appeared the ticker outside News Corporation’s Manhattan headquarters had been hacked and reprogrammed with an anti-Fox News script calling for revolution.

A Congressman is On Board: Impeach Obama Over DOMA

A sitting Congressman has endorsed the call to impeach President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder. Rep. Trent Franks, R-AZ, told Scott Keyes of ThinkProgress.org he would “absolutely” support impeachment if enough fellow Congressmen would support him. The left-wing blog posted an interview it filmed of the four-term Congressman at the Tea Party Patriots Policy Summit in Phoenix, in which Franks called for holding Obama and Holder accountable for violating the rule of law. Keyes asked if Franks would consider defunding the Department of Justice over its refusal to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Franks called withholding funds from the department “probably the strongest leverage that we have.”
When Keyes asked if Franks personally supported the measure, he responded, “Absolutely. I would support that in a moment. This Department of Justice has proven itself to be so committed to the ideology of Barack Obama that perhaps he should change the name.”
The left-wing blogger then returned to DOMA and raised the subject of impeachment:
Keyes: I know Newt Gingrich has came out [sic.] and said if they don’t reverse course here, we ought to be talking about possibly impeaching either Attorney General Holder or even President Obama to try to get them to reverse course. Do you think that is something you would support?
Frank: If it could gain the collective support, absolutely. I called for Eric Holder to repudiate the policy to try terrorists within our civil courts, or resign. So it just seems like that they have an uncanny ability to get it wrong on almost all fronts.
Franks is the first sitting Congressman to raise the specter of impeachment while in office. However, while successfully campaigning to regain his old House seat last fall, Michigan Republican Tim Walberg said the GOP must be willing to confront Obama “up to and including impeachment.”
Franks joins former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, American Family Radio Network talk show host Bryan Fischer, ACORN expert Matthew Vadum, and others who find the president’s selective defense or enforcement of marriage law to rise to the level of impeachment. Several other prominent figures, including former Congressman and presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo, have called for impeachment on other grounds.
Franks, who represents Arizona’s second Congressional district, is chairman of the Constitution subcommittee and an outspoken critic of Obama’s weak immigration policies.

I’m going to bankrupt this country by any means necessary, and if you try to stop me or slow me down, I’ll shut the government down and blame it on you. If you try to stop me, you can kiss your political careers good-bye. Isn’t this essentially what Barack Obama and his allies in the U.S. Senate are saying to the Republican leaders in Congress?
One thing is certain: it’s not an idle threat. Obama and his allies control the executive branch of the government and the United States Senate. They also control the mainstream media. On top of that, they control the unions, which they are sending into the streets.
Our great nation is on the verge of bankruptcy. The national debt stands at $14 trillion. When the people cried out and demanded that Washington put a stop to the out-of-control waste and spending, Barack Obama instead responded by proposing a budget that, by his own calculations, doubles our already untenable debt over the next decade.
Americans wrongly assumed that Obama would change accordingly after taking his election “shellacking.” He said the day after the elections, “And I told John Boehner and Mitch McConnell last night, I am very eager to sit down with members of both parties and figure out how we can move forward together.” His compromising rhetoric worked to get Americans to back-off and lower their defenses.
In reality, when the Republican-led House of Representatives put forth legislation to cut our out-of-control deficit by $61 billion — a mere 3.7 percent of our deficit and a scant 0.4 percent of our national debt — Barack Obama and his allies in Congress threatened to shut the government down.
Will Wisconsin’s Chaos Give Obama Room to Push Socialism?

The protests in Wisconsin are a perfect representation of the American Left: loud, selfish, churlish, anti-democratic, and unshakably assured of their inalienable right to get paid for doing nothing. And make no mistake, the chaos rending Madison is precisely the future Barack Obama wishes for every state in the union, because only such radical paralysis can allow him to press forward with his unpopular agenda. That is why the president has sided with the left-wing crowd in Wisconsin in ways that some liberals believe may be unconstitutional (and thus impeachable).
Although left-wingers continually begged President Bush to demand the American people “sacrifice” during his administration, Big Labor has no intention of putting its own gains upon the altar. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has taken perhaps the most moderate, common sense course for a state facing a $3.6 million budget shortfall over the next two years. Not a single state employee will lose his job, not a single salary will be cut; he merely reduced the benefits package by asking public employees to pay for 12.6 percent of their health insurance. (They currently pay a whopping four percent; for every $40 they pay toward their benefits, taxpayers are on the hook for $960.) They must vote to recertify their union each year, and their pay raises will not exceed inflation – unless the voters approve it. The state will only match their retirement contribution, not pay 100 percent.
It is hard to work up much sympathy for the public sector’s plight. Most employees working in jobs that pay their salaries fear layoffs, are underemployed, or have no retirement plan at all.
Things have gotten so endemically out of hand because public employees are far more likely to be unionized than their private sector counterparts. They can demand larger salaries and, in many cases, threaten to strike if their wishes are not met. Since the state can always pay added benefits by raises taxes and fees, the public benefit structure has grown as quickly as the workforce itself.
Labor unions, violent minority organizations, extreme left-wingers, and illegal immigrants are the privileged caste of Obama’s America. All further the Left’s aims in some way. Big Labor buys its influence the old fashioned way. Former SEIU President Andy Stern stated flatly, “We spent a fortune to elect Barack Obama – $60.7 million to be exact – and we’re proud of it.” Other unions poured in millions more, as well as unleashing a torrent of “volunteers.”
Ironically, since many of these unions get their dues from state employees, that means the taxpayers are funding these protests for more taxpayer money. The protests are aimed at preventing the taxpayers from voting on government employees’ pay raises, or encouraging the legislature’s Democratic minority to ignore the will of the people in the last election.
How can the Left possibly sell a position so outside the mainstream to the American people?

More Stealth Reparations: Obama Enacts Van Jones’ Indian Energy Plan

The Obama administration’s actions last week proved, although Green Jobs Czar Van Jones is gone, his ideology continues to guide the White House. Barack Obama called the leaders of American Indian tribes to Washington to witness him sign a UN treaty that, if followed literally, would return the entire continental United States to tribal control. He is not prepared to go that far, but he has made a down payment on the pledge by offering stealth reparations to the tribes in exactly the manner advocated by Van Jones.
Last Thursday, Obama held a summit with the tribal elders of 565 federally recognized American Indian tribes to sign the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People. The treaty stipulates, “Indigenous peoples have the right to the lands, territories and resources which they have traditionally owned, occupied or otherwise used or acquired.” In essence, the president signed away the entire country.
Even the few conservatives who paid attention to the treaty’s dangerous language missed a significant element of the pow wow. The Energy Department’s website announced “the establishment of an Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs in order to more effectively engage tribal governments in our national energy priorities and promote tribal energy development.” Specifically, the office will fund “projects to improve energy efficiency and develop geothermal, solar, bio-mass and wind energy on tribal lands.”
Compare that with Van Jones’….

Amiri Baraka is a self proclaimed communist. Baraka once led the Revolutionary Communist League (Marxist-Leninist-Maoist). In more recent years he has been a little closer to more orthodox Marxists such as the Communist Party USA and Democratic Socialists of America. His wife, Amina Baraka, has been, in recent years, a member of the Communist Party USA.
Amiri and Amina Baraka were both involved in the June 1998 founding conference of the Black Radical Congress in Chicago.
Attendees at the conference included future Obama “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones, member of Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement and a “9/11 Truther”; future Progressives for Obama founder Bill Fletcher, Jr. (Democratic Socialists of America and Freedom Road Socialist Organization); Obama’s then pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright; and future Obama Black Advisory Council member, Cornel West (Democratic Socialists of America).
Rev. Wright and Cornel West spoke at the conference session entitled “Faith as a Weapon: Spirituality and the Role of the Church In The Radical Movement”.
Baraka has written at least two poems dedicated to his idol – “Ode to Obama” and “Obama Poem”….
Van Jones and the Coming Civil War

Many have strongly believed – with Rush Limbaugh leading the charge for more than a year now – that Barack Obama has been intentionally destroying the U.S. economy. Now, thanks to Obama’s concession that allowing the current tax rates to expire would harm the middle class, coupled with the words of former Green Jobs czar and current fellow at the Center for American Progress (CAP), Van Jones, Limbaugh’s accuracy record is about to gain another fraction of a percentage point.
On November 30th, conservative blogger Adam Sharp went to Washington University in St. Louis to record video of Van Jones as he spoke there. Sharp persisted when campus police, event coordinators, and others attempted to prohibit him from recording the event by reminding them that it was billed as being open to the public. Ironically, the person who finally conceded to Sharp’s right to record was Jones himself.
That may have been a mistake on the part of Van “The Wizard” because it allowed Toto to pull back the proverbial curtain.
In one of the more shocking videos of late, Jones seemed to predict civil war in the United States because America will continue to become “less and less economically prosperous” while becoming “more and more ethnically diverse.” As he spoke of our nation becoming more ethnically diverse, his body language communicated that Americans would become more divided.
After saying that increased diversity coupled with a bad economy is “not a recipe for common ground; that’s a recipe for a battleground,” Jones went on to say that “opponents” (presumably capitalists) would “attack” and “fear” diversity as economic conditions deteriorate. He cited “immigrants,” “Muslims,” and homosexuals as targets of those “opponents.” Was Jones laying the groundwork for the excitement of domestic insurrection once economic conditions deteriorate enough?
The Declaration of Independence is the Key to Impeachment

When it comes to the impeachment and subsequent removal from office of a sitting president, the ‘how’ is found in the Constitution; much of the ‘why’ is found in the Declaration of Independence. The former was an extension of the latter.
As a Constitutional law professor, Barack Obama is extremely familiar with our founding documents but – quite ironically in light of his nearly palpable contempt for Great Britain – he seems to be channeling the individual most responsible for the Declaration’s authorship – King George.
For example:
He (King George) has forbidden his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
Two states have passed laws recently that have, in effect, been “suspended.” In the case of Arizona’s SB 1070, U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton blocked the most key parts of the law one day prior to its scheduled implementation. This never would have been done had Obama’s Department of Justice not filed a lawsuit against the state of Arizona. As for the neglecting-to-attend-to-them part, the law has virtually faded from public view since the ruling.
The other state to have an activist judge rule in favor of the Obama administration – inferred based on the president’s ideology and past statements – is Oklahoma. After 70 percent of that state’s voters decided they wanted to preemptively eliminate the possibility of Shari’a law factoring in to any court rulings there, an activist judge “suspended” the results of the ballot measure.
How courts rule on the multiple lawsuits already filed in different states challenging the legal standing of Obamacare will further demonstrate the degree to which this administration’s luck may not be luck at all.
He (King George) has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
Speaking of Obamacare, isn’t this precisely what happened?….
