Obama Can’t Keep His Osama Stories — or Anything Else — Straight

Michael Oberndorf, FloydReports.com

The current occupant of the White House and his unindicted co-conspirators can’t seem to get their lies straight. Their versions of the alleged killing of Osama bin Laden are conflicting, contradictory, and constantly changing. And the biggest lie of all is that Obama-Soetoro had jack to do with the operation. In one of the most disgusting displays of narcissistic braggadocio I have ever had the bad fortune to witness, the Prevaricator-in-Chief gave one of his most egregious I-Me-I-Me harangues, claiming total credit for the obvious hard, patriotic work of many of his betters, including the hated George W. Bush.

Then, he claims he doesn’t want to offend the sensibilities of Muslims by releasing pictures of the dead murderer of 3,000 Americans. This from a provocateur who, in 2009, had to be begged to reverse his decision to release 2,000 pictures of detainee abuse (incidents which had already been punished). These pictures were guaranteed to get the Islamists rioting in the streets again, far more that pictures of a dead, symbolic has-been.

This killing succeeded in distracting Americans concerned about the Usurper’s destruction of America – the tail wagging the dog – at a time when the Head Fool’s popularity was in the tank. The Clown-in-Chief, it has been reported, has known since last August that bin Laden was in Abbottabad, but chose to wait until now to do anything. He thinks he can amateurishly create diversions that will make people think he’s a macho patriot, instead of the anti-American buffoon that he has shown himself to be.

With the economy on the brink of the second dip of a double dip recession, brought on by the looting of the Treasury and wild, uncontrolled borrowing and spending by the government, the Oh-So-Clever-One thinks he can….

Everything Obama Said About the Border Was a Lie

Sen. Jim DeMint, R-SC, NRO

President Obama’s immigration speech in El Paso today is a poor substitute for the real border security the country still desperately needs. And it was a transparent attempt to keep using illegal immigration as a campaign issue, as President Obama made no attempt to solve this problem during the two years his party held huge majorities in both houses of Congress. His own administration has not done its job to finish the border fence that is a critical part of keeping Americans safe and stopping illegal immigration.

Rather than holding immigration summits at the White House with special interests and making speeches, President Obama should direct the members of his administration tasked with homeland security and patrolling the border to enact measures that have already been made law by Congress.

Five years ago, legislation was passed to build a 700-mile double-layer border fence along the southwest border. This is a promise that has not been kept.

Today, according to staff at the Department of Homeland Security, just 5 percent of the double-layer fencing is complete, only 36.3 miles.

The Government Accountability Office (GAO), Congress’s investigative arm, reported in early 2009 that only 32 miles of double-layer fencing had been built. That means under President Obama, only 4.3 miles of double layer fencing has been built. This is woefully inadequate.

While the border-fence construction lags, Mexican cartels continue to smuggle drugs, weapons, and illegal aliens into our country, attracting violent crime.

The United States Attorney’s Annual Statistical Report for Fiscal Year 2009 stated that “violence along the border of the United States and Mexico has increased dramatically in recent years.” Citing a National Drug Intelligence Center report, it continued, “Mexican drug trafficking organizations represent the greatest organized crime threat to the United States and the influence of Mexican drug trafficking organizations over domestic drug trafficking is unrivaled.”

Last month, officials in Brownsville, Texas, found a homemade, improvised explosive device on Highway 77 that resembled the bombs used against U.S. troops in the Middle East and by Mexican drug cartels.

Obama Fails to Recognize Muslim Genocide, Instead Bashes U.S.A.

Ben Johnson, FloydReports.com

Barack Obama has proven he is more efficient than his predecessor in one area: He managed to diminish the history of two Christian nations in one presidential proclamation — on the eve of Easter. Obama campaigned in 2008 on a promise to call the Ottoman Empire’s systematic destruction of 1.5 million Armenians in 1915-23 a “genocide,” something none of his predecessors since Ronald Reagan had done. President Obama has broken that vow ever since. The day of remembrance of the genocide, April 24, fell on Easter Sunday this year, and Americans of Armenian heritage pressured Obama to follow through with his pledge this year.

Obama’s statement, issued on Holy Saturday, declined to commemorate the Muslim genocide by name, but instead denigrated “the dark chapters in our own history.”

Obama’s “Statement by the President on Armenian Remembrance Day” referred instead to “horrific events.” Although he wrote “I have consistently stated my own view of what occurred in 1915, and my view of that history has not changed,” he decided to keep his own view to himself (for once). Instead, ever-so-gently beckoned the aggrieved parties — the offenders and the survivors — to resolve their “contested history.”

Obama’s solution to genocide: the Turkish Coffee Summit.

Both parties promptly rejected….
