Obama Agrees Not to Deport Illegal Alien — at Foreign Government’s Request

In what could be a dangerous trend, the Obama Administration has for the second time in a few weeks followed the orders of a Latin American nation demanding intervention on behalf of an illegal immigrant living in the United States…

This week Argentina’s government asked that an illegal immigrant in south Florida (Miyen Spinelli) be spared deportation and the administration obliged, according to news reports…

Argentine diplomats in Miami intervened this week, urging U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) not to deport Spinelli, who is described as a model student and athlete. Argentina’s Consul General actually requested that the illegal alien from his country be granted permanent U.S. residency, although the consul claims to be “respectful of American regulations.” It didn’t hurt that the South American official held a press conference to make the appeal.

A day later, ICE caved into the Argentine demand by suspending Spinelli’s imminent deportation.

Obama Lies About Stealth Amnesty, TSA Cancer; Media Bash Bachmann

Before the invention of movable type, newspapers created a tablet for each page they wished to print and broke it at the end of the day. If the media wanted to conserve resources, they could simply fuse the words “The Obama administration lied” to the opening line of each day’s edition and fill in the blank appropriately. This week alone, the press exposed Obama administration lies — in some cases under oath — about its stealth amnesty program for illegal immigrants and about whether airport x-ray scanners were tested for safety. Yet instead of focusing on the cascading batch of left-wing lies and misdirection, the media have trained their targets on Michele Bachmann’s off-the-cuff comments about her hometown and Bristol Palin’s first sexual encounter.

The administration’s lies would come as no surprise to readers of this website. This author exposed both stories nearly a year ago.

Amnesty By Fiat

Susan Carroll of The Houston Chronicle opened her lead story on Monday with the words, “Homeland Security officials misled the public and Congress last year in an effort to downplay a wave of immigration case dismissals in Houston and other cities amid accusations that they had created a ‘back-door amnesty,’ newly released records show.” The Chronicle reported that ICE Director John Morton released a memo last June instructing local immigration officials to dismiss pending cases against “thousands” of illegal immigrants who were set to be deported. Morton insisted ICE agents deport only the worst offenders, leaving all others in the country.

The Chronicle received a series of ICE documents in response to its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. (You can read them here.) Carroll wrote, “It was unclear from the documents, some of which were heavily redacted, exactly how the Houston office handled cases involving illegal immigrants with criminal records.”

Nonetheless, the number of case dismissals increased 40 percent during the last fiscal year.

Gary L. Goldman, ICE’s chief lawyer in Houston, eagerly implemented the memo, releasing hundreds of illegals. He rescinded the order only August 25, after Morton’s actions came to light.

Immigration Leader: “Obama Has Committed a Form of Treason,” Impeach Him!

June 28, 2011 (MMD Newswire) – - The Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama for his involvement in the Project Gunrunner scandal, as well as his recent edict instructing federal employees to establish a form of amnesty for illegal aliens in defiance of the Congress, existing federal laws, and the U.S. Constitution.

Obama’s ICE Director John Morton issued a memo on June 17th to all ICE Field Office Directors, Special Agents-in-Charge, and all Chief Counsel, authorizing them to decline to remove illegal aliens who meet the qualifications for amnesty under the DREAM Act Amnesty, which Congress has rejected many times.

Congressional investigations have determined that Obama’s ATF and Justice Department have been supplying assault weapons to the drug cartels that import most of America’s cocaine, methamphetamine, and illegal immigrants.

“President Obama is no longer the legitimate president of the United States,” said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. “By arming drug and human smugglers with assault weapons that have been used to kill American and Mexican citizens and police forces, and by ordering amnesty for illegal aliens which has been rejected by both the Congress and the American public more than eight times, Obama has committed a form of treason against the United States and must be removed from office by Congress.”

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) is a national organization founded on 9/11 of 2004. ALIPAC has over 40,000 supporters, comprised of Americans of every race, party, religion, and walk of life, who represent the over 80 percent who want America’s existing immigration laws enforced.

Video: Obama’s Amnesty Already Putting Illegals Back on the Streets

Obama’s amnesty-by-fiat is marching forward. We have reported how Obama is exploring various ways to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Since the American people are not going along with his plan, he is implementing it by top-down executive powers. John Morton, the director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), recently released new prosecutorial discretion guidelines encouraging agents to release most illegals. In the video below, we see just one case, in which one of the people who gets a pass was recently released from prison for committing manslaughter. When amnesty passes, the Democrat-Progressive-SEIU axis will enjoy an enormous influx of new voters, roughly the size of the state of Illinois, and that covers a multitude of sins.

Obama’s apologists will whine that all administrations have to use priorities in choosing which people to prosecute. We simply don’t have the money and resources, they claim, to prosecute every illegal alien arrested. Yet the administration has plenty of money to sue the state of Arizona over its immigration law, the state of Indiana to pay back its allies in the abortion industry, and Boeing for having the audacity to give non-unionized laborers a job. And, of course, there is plenty of money to bail out the Big Labor-Big Business alliance, bomb Libya, and fund the United Nations.

More Stealth Amnesty: Obama to Suspend Countless Deportations

In a first for any administration, President Obama has implemented a new system to spare a myriad of illegal immigrants from removal by authorizing—and encouraging—low-level field officers to block deportations by using an outrageously broad list of exemptions.

The unprecedented program will allow droves of undocumented immigrants to remain in the U.S. by drastically expanding factors that can be considered to exercise “prosecutorial discretion.” That’s when agencies get to decide to what degree they enforce certain laws against particular individuals.

Beginning this week, federal immigration officers, attorneys and other officials can cancel the removal of an illegal immigrant that is breast feeding or pregnant, has pursued an education in the U.S., has a relative in the military, has ties and contributions to the community or a U.S.-born child (anchor baby), to name a few. A “person’s length of presence in the U.S.” will also strengthen their case to stay.

The new prosecutorial discretion guidelines are outlined in a memo issued a few days ago by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton. For the first time ever, employees from field agents to senior officials are empowered to apply the ridiculously broad criteria to help illegal immigrants avoid deportation.

Morton encourages ICE officers, agents and attorneys to quickly consider prosecutorial discretion for illegal immigrants who meet the new benchmarks instead of waiting for their advocate or counsel to “request a favorable exercise of discretion.” He claims in the memo that this will “preserve government resources.”

Clearly, this is the Obama Administration’s latest effort to fulfill a secret amnesty plan in case Congress doesn’t pass legislation to legalize the nation’s 12 million undocumented immigrants.
