America Isn’t Exceptional, Mr. Maher?

Bill Maher SC America isnt Exceptional, Mr. Maher?

Recently, Bill Maher, a so called “comic”, recently said on his HBO television program that America really isn’t an exceptional country. I find it ironic, that first of all, this foul mouthed mental midget would only be able to do and say what he does in a country such as America without being frog marched out to a wall someplace and shot, but we’ll leave the obvious for later. Maher also thinks that Mormonism is a “stupid religion fit for a stupid country like America.” It bodes the question Mr Maher: if you hate America so much, what are you still doing here, besides getting rich off all those zombies who think you’re funny?

Independence Day is coming, Mr. Maher, and apparently, you and your followers need a history lesson in American exceptionalism. It all starts with the fact that a rag tag band of colonial farmers stood up and defeated what was then the greatest standing army and navy in the world. Out of that stance for liberty and freedom, unlike anything seen before it, came a government and Constitution that would become the envy of the world. Extrardinary men (and women) risked everything they had to birth this nation. In 1812, the British again invaded our country and burned our capital to the ground, but our citizen soldiers again prevailed, and we not only threw the invaders out of our country, we rebuilt our capital more majestic than before.

The citizens of this country fought a bloody and, in terms of human lives, a tragic civil war. The purpose was to keep the union intact and to free an entire race of people. The price for our President, Abraham Lincoln, was his life. He prevailed to see the end of the war, even though he saw his death as a result of his belief in the exceptionalism of the United States.

Our citizen army went to aid Europe during World War I and in the brief period of a little over two years helped defeat Germany/Austria- Hungary. The United States did this woefully unprepared and with virtually no heavy weapons of our own. We produced such exceptional men as General John J Pershing, Sargent Alvin York, air ace Eddie Rickenbacher, and Captain Charles Whittelsly, to name just a few. Exceptional men all.

World War II followed a short twenty three years later for us, and once again, our citizen’s soldiers answered the call to arms. A pathetic army of 100,000 steadily grew to over 12 million in all branches of service. We went from bi-planes to the magnificent P-51 Mustang, B-17, and B-29 superfortress. We liberated Europe, The Mediterannean, Africa, and the Pacific of brutality and tyranny in less than four years. We rebuilt Europe, Japan, and the free world, under the Marshall Plan post war. An exceptional act, Mr. Maher.

Our citizen army saved South Korea from being swallowed up by communism. We defeated the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese army in the late 1960′s, only to lose the political side of the war. We have helped free oppressed people around the world. We have fed, clothed, and taught citizens of numerous nations to read and write, to grow crops, and to find water for their people. We have supplied food to millions of starving people around the globe and help rebuild war- and weather- ravage nations everywhere.

We have given the world penicillin and polio vaccines and almost wiped out smallpox and a myriad of other diseases. We have extended human life through our scientific discoveries and sent men to the moon and back. We have freed women to go from domestic godesses to fly in outer space and  become CEO’s of multinational companies. We are an EXCEPTIONAL nation, Mr. Maher, but you and your minions are too ungrateful and too self-absorbed to see that.

Hey, if you dislike America, her Judeo-Christian belief system, and her exceptionalism, Mr. Maher, I’m sure that there are a lot of places that you and your zombies could move to and be happy, especially with all the money that you make being “funny”! By the way, if you look around, Mr. Maher, and see a wounded vet, you are seeing the greatest example of exceptionalism that anyone could ask for. America and her people are special, generous, compassionate, caring, fighting, and freedom-loving, Mr. Maher. Your denigration of that is nothing more than a lie that flies in the face of reality. Happy Independence Day, Mr. Maher, from those of us who do appreciate America.

Don Rickles And The Gasp Of Political Correctness

Don Rickles Don Rickles and the Gasp of Political Correctness

The instinct to be politically correct was on display again. This time a comedian’s insulting joke led to audible gasps in a Hollywood elite audience and then, finally, to laughs.

What was this shocking incident about? It was — if you have a pacemaker make sure this won’t short circuit it— about Don Rickles making an insult joke about President Barack Obama that wasn’t PC.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the black-tie elite at the American Film Institute’s tribute to Shirley MacLaine audibly gasp when Rickles delivered this line: “I shouldn’t make fun of the blacks…President Obama is a personal friend of mine. He was over to the house yesterday, but the mop broke.”

Yes, some of the show biz elite actually seemed momentarily shocked by that line delivered by Rickles, the comedian famous for lines such as: “Who picks your clothes – Stevie Wonder?” The same Rickles who Frank Sinatra helped into the big-time after Rickles shouted out to him while doing a club gig: “Make yourself at home, Frank. Hit somebody!”

The same comedian who has worked steadily for more than 60 years — long admired by top comics and top entertainers of several generations. The same Rickles who has been a comedy headliner, richly rewarded by Vegas and other famous venues for many years.

The same Rickles who when interviewed by then-Washington Post reporter Howard Kurtz in 2007 said this to Kurtz after the reporter told the comedian about his Mexican fiancée: “On Yom Kippur, we’ll give her a taco and send her home early.” He later explained to Kurtz: “It’s not really an insult. It’s just an exaggeration. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been headlining for 50-odd years.”

The same Rickles who’d a send longtime late night king Johnny Carson into fits of laughter when he’d have him on his show. The same Rickles so famous for his brand of comedy that he was the subject of John Landis’ critically acclaimed 2007 HBO documentary: “Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project.”

What’s going on here?

You mean a room packed with show business powerhouses somehow genuinely didn’t know that Don Rickles did jokes with punch lines that were often not P.C.? His joke was so shocking that it merited a gasp? Puh-leaze!

Political correctness has been around for a while. Wikipedia defines it as “a term which denotes language, ideas, policies, and behavior seen as seeking to minimize social and institutional offense in occupational, gender, racial, cultural, sexual orientation, certain other religions, beliefs or ideologies, disability, and age-related contexts, and, as purported by the term, doing so to an excessive extent.” But like everything else in America it has become a highly polarizing concept.

One conservative critic calls it “political Marxism.” There are times when political correctness is definitely valid — and times when excessive pro or con reactions to it seems like tiresome personal or political posturing.

In comedy, a member of an ethnic group can generally joke about his or her own group without being accused of being outdated in perceptions, a racist or being biased. It’s when the joke is made about another group that the P.C. police gasp or go into attack mode.

For instance, I’m Jewish, so I could use this old joke: “I tried to sell a Jewish game show to NBC. It was called The Price is Too Much.” But moldy jokes that go beyond my group could be risky: “I have a cousin who’s a Japanese Jew. Every December 7th he attacks Pearl Schwartz.”

Reaction to Rickles’ joke became a news story, sparking this response from Rickles’ camp to The Politico: “It was a joke as were the other comments Don made that night. Anyone who knows him knows he’s not a racist.”

For those who seemed shocked that comedy institution Rickles could deliver an insult joke that isn’t (GASP!) politically correct, here are three more shocking statements.

(1) Swiss cheese has holes in it, (2) Hot dogs don’t contain dog, and, (3) Verbal and written P.C. reaction sometimes says more about the person raising his or her eyebrow than what the supposedly offending person actually said.

Video: Bill Maher: If I Had A Son I Hope He Would Act Like Trayvon Martin

It’s becoming clearer and clearer that no matter what evidence comes out concerning the Trayvon Martin shooting in Sanford, Florida, America’s media will support him.

On HBO’s Real Time Friday, host Bill Maher actually said, “I just want to say if I had a son he would not look like Trayvon Martin, but I hope he would act like him” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

(Editor’s Note: Video contains some graphic language)

BILL MAHER: There’s lots of new evidence that was made public this week in the Trayvon Martin case. He did have marijuana in his system, a drug that has never made anyone on planet earth violent. And at the moment that he confronted or was confronted by the wannabe cop loser who was stalking him, turns out he probably did beat the dog s—t out of that guy. I just want to say if I had a son he would not look like Trayvon Martin, but I hope he would act like him.

His Own Daughter’s Graphic HBO Sex Scenes Fill Brian Williams With “unmitigated Joy”

Knightly News Brian WIlliams Obama SC His own daughter’s graphic HBO sex scenes fill Brian Williams with “unmitigated joy”

Seeing his own daughter starring in HBO’s latest bouquet to debauchery “Girls” excites media Democrat propagandist Brian Williams.  NBC’s Baghdad Bob says the scenes featuring his daughter Allison arranging an abortion for a friend and casually slipping into her bathroom to masturbate fill him with “unmitigated joy.”

Because “Girls” is a classic representation of the liberal world view, it is the new darling of those who are paid to tell us we are somehow weird because we try to live by God’s laws instead by what would be praised on TMZ.

“Girls” rigidly sticks a plot line that liberals like Williams can be proud of. It’s a peek at the world as seen by miserable idle young women whose world centers south of their belly buttons.  Critically praised for its “awkward honesty,” it actually stubbles onto the “what now” truth of post-college life under the very regime the senior Williams works so hard to sell us on each night.

The show has been hatched by Lena Dunham. She is a feminist whose liberal credentials are impeccable enough for her to claim to be “the voice of a generation.” Of course, it doesn’t occur to either Ms. Dunham or the Williams’ that if this was truly the case, there would be little need for the graphic nudity and drug use it shows us as emblematic of her generation – which it is not.

What must have Papa Williams bursting with pride are the story lines for future episodes of this liberal’s dream.  In one installment, the amoral characters deal with the question of how to abort the child of a sophisticated British friend – notice liberals are in love with British accents.

“Girls” offers support to the liberals who see their secular “sacrament” abortion being roundly rejected by the white sisters they identify with – liberals don’t care about genocides accomplished with forceps, just the ones halfway around the world they can blame on “right wing” dictators.

“Girls” will last for a while. Shows like this that claim to depict the “real” world and mock conservatives who tend to stay on the air as “statements,” even if they lose money because nobody watches them.  But eventually faced with the truth that Americans are tired of being told up is really down, good is really bad, and liberalism is the natural state of the world, it will fail and go away.

Brian Williams will have to leer at someone else’s daughter arranging a friend’s abortion to “prove” it is a woman’s right.

Dan Savage: ‘Tolerant’ Bully

Dan Savage SC Dan Savage: ‘Tolerant’ Bully

They used to arrest middle-aged perverts who get their jollies from talking dirty to children. Today, they get a television show, a nationally syndicated column, a lecture circuit, and multiple visits to the Obama White House.

You know: “Forward.”

The irony is palpable. Dan Savage, sex columnist and founder of the LGBT anti-bullying “It Gets Better” campaign, has been outed. Not as a homosexual. He’s out and proud in that regard. In fact, Savage pushes his “anything goes” brand of sexual anarchy on kids worldwide. MTV has even given the sex-obsessed radical his own show, “Savage U” – a moral-relativist platform from which to corrupt the kiddos.

Creepy stuff.

No, Savage has finally managed to publicly discredit himself as the anti-Christian bigot and bully he’s always been. Never again will this guy be taken seriously as an anti-bullying crusader.

Savage lectures teens in high schools and colleges around the country on the benefits of “non-monogamy,” the occasional “three-way” tryst, and any other disease-spreading sexual impulse that might cross their impressionable, hormone-charged young minds (and many they can’t yet imagine).

Well, recently, rather than just shocking his teenaged audience with vulgar, sophomoric psychobabble as usual, Savage apparently thought it’d be fun to bully the kids with whom he disagreed.

While addressing a crowd of hundreds of high schoolers at the National High School Journalism Convention, Savage launched into an unhinged anti-Christian diatribe. He advised the teens to “ignore the bulls–t in the Bible” about sexual morality. “We ignore bulls–t in the Bible about all sorts of things,” he barked.

He then walked through a list of the same tired left-wing talking points about the Bible – long ago discredited – covering shellfish, virginity, etc. “The Bible is a radically pro-slavery document,” he said (anti-Christian trash we’ve come to expect from the secular left).

But when a hundred or more kids got up and began to walk out on Savage’s anti-Christian rant, the 47-year-old tough guy turned his hostility toward them. “It’s funny to someone who is on the receiving end of beatings that are justified by the Bible how pansya–ed people react when you push back,” he mocked. Some of the young girls were seen leaving in tears.

“It took a real dark, hostile turn, certainly, as I saw it,” teacher Rick Tuttle told CNN. “It became very hostile toward Christianity, to the point that many students did walk out, including some of my students.

“They felt that they were attacked … a very pointed, direct attack on one particular group of students. It’s amazing that we go to an anti-bullying speech and one group of students is picked on in particular, with harsh, profane language.”

But the only thing surprising is that anyone is surprised. Dan Savage is known in Christian circles as “the gay Fred Phelps.” Phelps, of course, is the similarly cartoonish Westboro Baptist “preacher” who gained notoriety by protesting military funerals with his incestuous brood of pseudo-Christian haters. Savage is Phelps’ photo negative. Whereas Phelps’ hateful mantra is “God hates fags,” Savage’s central message is “I hate God and anyone who loves Him.”

Savage’s primary claim to fame is that he formed the website “Santorum.com,” to create a “Google bomb” that would smear the good name of former senator and presidential candidate Rick Santorum. On the site, he redefined the senator’s last name, Santorum, using language so vile and repulsive that I won’t repeat it. When Christian advocate and Americans for Truth founder Peter LaBarbera asked Savage to take down the website, Savage responded, “I’m asking Peter LaBarbera to go f–k himself.”

Savage also once bragged that he licked the doorknobs at former Republican presidential candidate Gary Bauer’s campaign office in hopes of giving Mr. Bauer the flu.

Savage told the Daily Pennsylvanian in 2006 that Carl Romanelli, a U.S. senate candidate he didn’t like, “should be dragged behind a pickup truck until there’s nothing left but the rope.” In the same interview, he opined: “Mr. Romanelli should go f–k himself.” He also once said on HBO that he “wished all Republicans were f–king dead.”

Yep, this deviant troglodyte is the face of the left’s anti-bullying efforts. I’ve often said that those wonderfully “tolerant” liberals – the self-styled opponents of “hate” and “bigotry” – are the most intolerant, hateful bigots among us.

Thanks for proving my point, Dan.
