Brits Warn America of Obama’s Green Tyranny

Obama’s duplicity is renowned. Obama’s long-hyped “shovel ready jobs” to rebuild America’s infrastructure turned out to be a joke that elicited an on-camera chuckle from Obama. Obama’s latest ploy is to play “nice Boehner vs. bad Republicans,” as if John Boehner is a doofus. After publicly sweet talking Speaker Boehner for “doing his best,” he derides Boehner’s Republican caucus for adhering to the will of a 76 percent majority of Americans who do not want the debt ceiling raised. Obama ignores voters’ demands for major spending cuts – especially on bloated agencies like the EPA, DOE, and endless other government bureaucracies with costly overlapping functions. Obama talks “jobs” while implementing socialist policies that undercut job creation and damage people of all ages and colors. Obama prefers to call taxes “revenue.” He condescends, hoping Americans “don’t get” that in order to stimulate job growth, incentives through less taxes must be given to job creators. With all of his save America talk, Obama is quietly and quickly implementing policies that are catastrophic to this nation.

In a stealth move to bypass Congress, President Obama is resurrecting his Cap-and-Trade “green” agenda through harsh EPA regulations and fines that will be budget-busting for homes and businesses. Keenly aware of this egregious power grab and political corruption, presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is calling for the dissolution of the EPA.

Heed the British warning.

An ocean apart, Obama is hoping that the “green” devastation being faced by the British will escape notice. As Barack Obama makes claims of a better life and future for Americans, his administration is surreptitiously mounting mountains of regulations via executive order and the EPA that will kill jobs, crush the economy and impose fines on families failing to comply. As Obama presses hard-and-fast for his socialist, global-warming “green” initiatives to be forced on Americans, the Brits are bailing. Their economy is being savaged by their “politically correct” green policies based on fraudulent science. Brits are already making the choice between food or fuel as U.K. families face “fuel poverty.” The Brits are now speaking out and rebelling….

Obama’s “Pro-Business” Commerce Secretary is an Environmentalist, Supports Cap-and-Trade

John Bryson, nominated by President Barack Obama today to head the Department of Commerce, once said it was “incredibly important” that the United States pass cap and trade legislation and that America needed to become a global leader in combating man-made global warming.

“I regard it as incredibly important that the United States comes forth in this year with federal climate change legislation as a foundation for moving ahead,” Bryson told the UN International Energy Conference in late August 2009. “I think we in the U.S. have an obligation to assist in significant ways in providing leadership in this community of nations that you represent and addressing energy and climate change.”

…Bryson, a co-founder of the liberal environmentalist group Natural Resources Defense Council, was most recently a member of the United Nations’ Advisory Group on Energy and Climate Change, a panel of scientific and industry experts tasked with providing advice on combating global warming.

Obama Pushes for $8-a-Gallon Gas

With oil prices surging above $100 a barrel yesterday, consumers are realizing they will be paying a heavy price at the pump for the unrest in the Middle East. A perfect storm of foreign and domestic policy choices by the Obama administration has paved the way for European-style energy prices to arrive on these shores. Far from being alarmed, President Obama sees the prospect of $8 a gallon gas as an opportunity.

When it comes to energy, the White House has sought to augment government controls to prevent the “long-term threat of climate change, which if left unchecked could result in violent conflict, terrible storms, shrinking coastlines and irreversible catastrophe,” in Mr. Obama‘s words. Making energy more expensive is exactly what the administration’s “cap and trade” scheme is meant to do. The theory is that pricier power will be used more frugally, which in turn will appease Mother Earth into blessing us with cooler weather. Mr. Obama expressed the same outlook in May when – with oil at $61 a barrel – he signed a memorandum dictating to automakers the kinds of cars they will be allowed to sell. At the time, Mr. Obama noted with trepidation, “The impetus for action would fade when gas prices started to go back down”…

It’s not possible for domestic production to relieve the pressure from international uncertainty. Mr. Obama and congressional Democrats have blocked drilling in places like Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, in millions of acres of federal lands and in offshore locations. Mr. Obama even took advantage of the BP oil disaster to shut down operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Obama points to the small amount of oil currently produced at home to conclude, “We can’t drill our way out of the problem.” That’s only a true statement as long as the current policies place 67 percent of America’s reserves off-limits.

Is Immelt Appointment Obama’s Pay-Off to Red China?

On Friday Obama announced Jeffery Immelt the CEO of General Electric will head some kind of mumbo jumbo “board” that will magically create private sector jobs.

Obama’s steno pool (the media) dutifully reported this as a “gesture by the White House toward strengthening ties to business,” as if GE actually were “business” and not a coconspirator.

Why Immelt? Why GE?

During 2008/2009 GEPAC “donated” $2.4 million to Democrats greasing every greedy Democrat hand they could find to pass Cap and Trade. In August 2009 a leaked GE executive’s Email gleefully spouted: “On climate change we were able to work closely with key authors of the Waxman-Markey climate and energy bill, recently passed by the House of Representatives. If this bill is enacted into law it would benefit many GE businesses”…

Problems arise: problems solved

The failed Cap and Trade bill would have required the EPA to set new standards for greenhouse gas emissions for all engines used in new aircraft by December 12, 2012. And surprise, surprise GE is the ONLY company in America equipped to produce these engines in any meaningful quantities!

More than this, GE was handed a contract to sell 110,000 “smart meters” that will remotely “regulate” our use of electricity to American Electric Power. GE is building these “smart meters” with $75 million of our money.

Now with Cap and Trade dead Obama can use Executive Orders to see that General Electric can still build the EPA mandated engines, but do so in China. That way he can pay his “interest” to the Chinese and add a few jobs in America.

More Stealth Reparations: Obama Enacts Van Jones’ Indian Energy Plan

The Obama administration’s actions last week proved, although Green Jobs Czar Van Jones is gone, his ideology continues to guide the White House. Barack Obama called the leaders of American Indian tribes to Washington to witness him sign a UN treaty that, if followed literally, would return the entire continental United States to tribal control. He is not prepared to go that far, but he has made a down payment on the pledge by offering stealth reparations to the tribes in exactly the manner advocated by Van Jones.

Last Thursday, Obama held a summit with the tribal elders of 565 federally recognized American Indian tribes to sign the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People. The treaty stipulates, “Indigenous peoples have the right to the lands, territories and resources which they have traditionally owned, occupied or otherwise used or acquired.” In essence, the president signed away the entire country.

Even the few conservatives who paid attention to the treaty’s dangerous language missed a significant element of the pow wow. The Energy Department’s website announced “the establishment of an Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs in order to more effectively engage tribal governments in our national energy priorities and promote tribal energy development.” Specifically, the office will fund “projects to improve energy efficiency and develop geothermal, solar, bio-mass and wind energy on tribal lands.”

Compare that with Van Jones’….
