Holder Files Murder Charges — to Provide Cover for the Obama Regime

Doug Book, FloydReports.com

In December of last year, Border Agent Brian Terry was killed by Mexican gang members in an Arizona border shootout. Two of the weapons recovered from the scene had been part of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF)’s “Project Gunrunner,” a plot whereby thousands of firearms were deliberately sold to known straw purchasers for Mexican drug cartels, then assisted across the border by the ATF itself.

On May 4th, Obama regime Attorney General Eric Holder sat before the House Judiciary Committee, evading California Representative Darrell Issa’s questions about the Justice Department’s involvement in ATF’s ultimately deadly Gunrunner scheme….

Obama’s ATF Seals the Records of Illegal Alien Arrested at Border Agent’s Murder Scene

Kevin “Coach” Collins, FloydReports.com

On December 14, Border Officer Brian Terry lost his life in a shoot out with illegal Mexican aliens he was attempting to stop from sneaking into our country. Since then we have seen the Bureau of Alcohol Firearms and Tobacco (BATF) work overtime to keep us from learning that the guns involved in the crime, the guns with Mexican drug cartel fingerprints on them, were likely part of Project Gunrunner, an insane idea dreamed up by some fool in the BATF that would allow known Mexican drug gang members to slip over our border, legally buy guns, and take them back to their bosses in Mexico.

Thereafter this foolhardy plan called for using the trail of these guns as a way to trace them to Mexico’s drug kingpins and build a “solid” case against them. Such stupidity has rarely been seen, even in government work.

Somebody is responsible for allowing the gun used to shoot and kill Agent Terry and that someone’s head should roll.

Worse than this, it is reliably reported that Agent Terry was forced to stand his ground with just a shotgun that shot bean bags!

Now we get news that is still worse….

Issa Threatens Obama Admin with Contempt Proceedings

Ben Johnson, FloydReports.com

Congressman Darrell Issa is threatening the Obama administration with contempt hearings if it continues to stonewall his investigation of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF). In a letter Issa sent ATF Director Ken Melson earlier today, the California Republican blasted the agency for failing to meet the April 13 deadline for his subpoena. Issa, the chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, is investigating Project Gunrunner and Operation Fast and Furious — two ATF programs that may have cost the lives of two federal agents.

Assistant Attorney General Ronald Welch refused to comply with a subpoena Issa handed down on March 31, citing the Justice Department’s “ongoing criminal investigations.” Issa retorted, “We are not conducting a concurrent investigation with the Department of Justice, but rather an independent investigation of the Department of Justice.”

His letter revealed that Issa had obtained a document proving two AK-47s sold through Project Gunrunner — but never tracked by the ATF — were found near the murder scene of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry last December.

Will a Gillette Cause Heads to Roll in Project Gunrunner?

Doug Book, FloydReports.com

Several months ago, Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Charles Grassley began an investigation of Project Gunrunner, the disgraceful ATF program of deliberately “walking” guns across the southern border and into the waiting hands of Mexican drug cartel members.

The senator was alerted by ATF whistleblowers, who became fed up after weapons traced to the Project were found at the scene of the December 2010 killing of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.

And how has Acting ATF Director, Kenneth Melson, a vehement gun-grabber, answered Senator Grassley’s requests for information about Project Gunrunner? He has informed agents that they “are in no way obligated to respond” to questions from Congress.

In an e-mail to ATF Deputy Director Billy Hoover acquired through an FOIA request, Grassley discovered that agents were also told to “refer congressional staff who seek information…to the ATF’s office of Congressional Affairs” as agents are, after all, “not authorized to disclose non-public information.”

In an April 8th letter to Melson, Senator Grassley made it quite clear that no one at the ATF “may attempt to prohibit or prevent ‘any other officer or employee of the Federal Government from having…communication…with any Member [or] committee…of the Congress.’”

Thus, any retaliation against agents who assisted the Grassley investigation must stop immediately, under threat of legal action.

But further along in the Grassley letter comes the bit which had to make Melson hit the speed dial to Eric Holder. “George Gillette, through and in conjunction with his legal counsel, is cooperating with this investigation.”

As Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix ATF field office, Gillette ran the Arizona portion of Project Gunrunner….
