“If You Try to Take Our Firearms, We Will Kill You”

Last December 14th Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed during an Arizona shootout with members of a Mexican drug cartel. But before the facts surrounding this murder could be buried with its victim, David Codrea and Mike Vanderboegh brought the story to the American public. Working with contacts within the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), these men revealed what is now known as Project “Gunwalker”…the deliberate facilitation by the ATF of the sale of guns to known straw purchasers for Mexican drug cartels. Two of the rifles literally “walked” across the border by the ATF were found at the scene of agent Terry’s murder and with the cooperation of agency whistle blowers, Iowa senator Charles Grassley is investigating the accusations lodged against the agency. The investigative work they have done into Project Gunwalker and the ATF’s attempts to cover its tracks earn Codrea and Vanderboegh kudos from justice lovers and 2nd amendment supporters everywhere.
On February 26th, Vanderboegh printed an article entitled “America as a Free Fire Zone: A Critical Examination of Gun Culture Rationalizations” on his Sipset Street Irregulars blog. Written by Ernest Partridge, professor of Environmental Ethics at Wisconsin’s Northland College, the article predictably rehashes the same attacks, tripe, and misinformation for which gun-grabbers are famous. For decades, Second Amendment supporters have responded to anti-gun rights declarations of the type made by Professor Partridge with facts, reason, and well-researched statistics.

On December 14th, Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was killed in an Arizona border shootout, presumably with Mexican illegals. Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano eulogized him a week later, saying “he put service before self, which is the mark of heroism.” After the Arizona shootings, the Left gleefully blamed conservatives from Palin to Rush and pushed new gun legislation of all kinds. But although Big Sis herself flew to the scene of Terry’s death, took over the investigation, promised justice and quick action and later presented his eulogy, the legacy media and liberal politicos throughout the nation have fallen silent. No one has been blamed, no new gun legislation has been demanded.
In fact, the ATF-proposed Long Gun Registry for the border states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas; supported by liberals everywhere; and to have gone into effect on January 5th has been suddenly discarded. The funding necessary to implement the program has been refused the ATF by the White House Budget Office. So what happened? Why has this crisis been permitted to go to waste?
In 2005, the ATF created Project Gunrunner “to stem the flow of firearms into Mexico and to drug gangs.” But there is one small problem. In spite of the contentions of Michael Bloomberg’s “Mayors Against Illegal Guns” and other gun control groups which claim that 90% of Mexican “crime guns” originate in the United States, there is no massive flow of firearms into Mexico from the U.S. So, “to justify the existence of the ATF’s Project Gunrunner…and thus the agency itself…the ATF stands accused of letting buyers purchase rifles in the US, knowing that the guns were headed for Mexican drug cartels. Worse, they may have literally walked the guns into Mexico themselves.”
Whistleblowers at the ATF have informed Senate Judiciary Committee member Charles Grassley, R-IA, that gun stores in Arizona and Texas were told by the ATF to sell weapons to….
Does Obama even care about Border Security?

Last week, the Justice Department, under the mandate of the Obama administration, served papers that it will be suing Arizona because of Arizona Senate Bill 1070.
The Obama government argues that a state such as Arizona cannot pass a law that already falls under a federal law, and has decided to sue Arizona over the law.
Obama has also decided to apologize to China about the law, reveal the lawsuit to Ecuadorean tv before Arizona, encourage federal agencies to boycott Arizona, and allow Mexico to join in on the lawsuit.
What? It seems like Obama cares more about pleasing foreign countries and special interest groups than it does defending the borders of the United States of America. Read more
