Obama is a disgrace
President Barack Obama, who got his start in politics in the living room of domestic terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, and spent his first year in office apologizing for American history, has now decisively tipped U.S. foreign policy toward America’s enemies. Events of the past week have left no doubt.
There is a pattern. President "Let No Crisis Be Wasted" Obama twists events to justify his radical agenda. A financial crisis becomes the excuse for a massive health care entitlement. An oil spill is exploited to push an unpopular energy tax. And a jihadist publicity stunt — the Gaza flotilla — becomes the occasion to throw Israel to the wolves.
One mentions Ayers and Dohrn not to dwell on the past but because — hello! — the pair has been involved with the Free Gaza movement, one of the organizers of the so-called "Freedom Flotilla." Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez has announced that he, too, would like to participate in the next running of the blockade — and why not? Obama has blessed the project with success.
By 1) declaring through Secretary of State Clinton that the blockade of Gaza is "unsustainable and unacceptable"; 2) joining the United Nations Security Council in "condemn(ing) those acts which resulted in the loss of at least 10 civilians and many wounded"; and 3) having a White House official tell the Washington Post that there is now a "general sense in the administration that it’s time to change our Gaza policy," the Obama administration has handed the terrorists a victory.
To review: In 2005, Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza, forcibly uprooting 8,500 Jewish settlers and evacuating all soldiers. The Palestinians were left free to form their own government and run their own affairs. Much of value was left behind. MSNBC reported at the time that "American Jewish donors … bought more than 3,000 greenhouses from Israeli settlers in Gaza for $14 million last month and transferred them to the Palestinian Authority. Former World Bank President James Wolfensohn, who brokered the deal, put up $500,000 of his own cash."

He said he had the audacity to hope that America could rise above the politics of partisan polarization and embrace the sunlight paths of compromise and cooperation. But that was then and this is now.
Faced with falling polls and the chance of wholesale obliteration of his majorities in Congress, President Obama has plainly decided to pursue the very politics of division and partisan animus he once claimed to eschew.
To grasp the reasons behind Obama’s descent into the mud, start with some basic facts. In 2008, he won almost exactly the same percentage of the white vote that John Kerry won in 2004. The reasons he won and Kerry lost were all demographic:
* Obama generated an African-American turnout three points higher than Kerry, and almost all of those new voters supported him.
* Latino-American voters gave Obama a margin of 45 points while they supported Kerry by only 10 — and they constituted 1 percent more of the vote in ’08 than in ’04.
* Obama offset his losses among older white voters by increasing the turnout and the Democratic margin among whites under age 30.
America’s Man-Handler-in-Chief

Back in 1994, Republicans swept both houses of Congress and shifted the balance of power back from Bill Clinton’s leftward tilt. Their backlash was largely a result of Clinton’s push for nationalized health care.
A lot of pundits are making all manner of comparisons between then and 2010, but, as I see it, the main distinction between then and now is that Bill Clinton was fundamentally a proponent of the free-market system, while Barack Obama is an opponent of it, seeking to impose government control over every single aspect of American life he disagrees with, a very long list indeed.
There’s no sign he’s going to stop. He is, after all, a community organizer at heart. So, what exactly does a community organizer do?
Organizers develop a list of grievances held by people in a given community. They then organize and agitate those people to act on those grievances through protest and other tactics meant to influence the legislative process. Incidental to this process of organization is the reality that those who won’t assume the role of useful idiot are then “organized” into their own special group, “the opposition”, which becomes the target of the organizer and those he has agitated. Does this sound familiar? Let’s take a look at a few examples of Barack Obama’s organizing.
These Are the Smart People? Oh, Please

If there is a single thing that Barack Obama has proved to the American people — beyond any reasonable doubt — it is that he is not smart. And neither are those so-called brilliant folks surrounding him, aiding him, advising him, and egging him on against the will of the people.
Barack Obama is charismatic. Or at least he was until mainstream Americans figured out he was a habitual liar and stopped listening to him.
From his whoppers about small things on the campaign trail (his uncle helped liberate Auschwitz; his parents married because of Selma; his father got a scholarship to America from the Kennedy’s) to his lies about very big things (his health care plan will reduce employer insurance premiums by 3000 percent, or $3,000 — still a lie), this president is now only allowed in polite company because he is the president. In any real-world company, inveterate liars are shunned as utterly untrustworthy, unreliable, unwelcome guests. (Unless their last name is “Clinton,” we shouldn’t forget.)
The still-blind sucker crowd that elected this charlatan to the most powerful CEO position in the world, on the strength of his skin color and a resume fit for the back of a postage stamp, cling to the hollow claim that their guy is just too smart for the rest of us commoners to understand him. And that whopper is just as believable to any sentient person as the president’s 3000 percent rate-reduction claim about his health care bill.
The proof that Barack Obama is not smart lies in his actions over the past year.
ObamaCare Coming Over America’s Objections
Open wide: ObamaCare is about to be shoved down your throat.
As the dust settles after the seven-hour Obama talk-a-thon called the health care summit, it is obvious that Obama never intended to actually listen, or consider compromise despite America’s desire for just that.
Americans don’t like ObamaCare for simple reasons. It doesn’t treat Americans equally. Because of the special deal for Louisiana, the $600 million hospital in Connecticut and the Medicare Advantage protections for some Florida seniors while it is cut for others is unequal treatment, and it is wrong.
America is broke and cannot afford another trillion dollars in new entitlement spending. It will destroy your freedom to determine your own health care and treatments.
Within minutes of the summit, Politico reported, “Democrats plan to begin making the case next week for a massive, Democrats-only health care plan…A Democratic official said the six-hour summit was expected to ‘give a face to gridlock, in the form of House and Senate Republicans.’ Democrats plan to begin hear, and perhaps legislative, steps toward the Democrats-only, or reconciliation, process early next week, the strategists said.”
Senators call reconciliation the nuclear option. Rush Limbaugh says it’s “a suicide pact.” The traditions of the United States Senate will end with this tyrannical manipulation of Senate rules un-witnessed previously in American history.
Why call it a “suicide pact?” Simply put, the American people have overwhelmingly said “no” to ObamaCare, and Democrats don’t care. They’re sneaking around behind closed doors, cutting deals, breaking the rules, threatening legislative trickery and making a mockery of our legislative process and traditions, and they don’t care.
And yes, the fix is already in. In the coming days, Nancy Pelosi will attempt to pass Harry Reid’s Senate version of ObamaCare in the House of Representatives and she’ll overcome liberal objections to the Senate version of ObamaCare by promising her fellow liberals that those objections will be resolved when the Senate amends ObamaCare through legislative reconciliation a process that will take a filibuster off the table.
ObamaCare being passed could end political careers and the Democrat party’s majority in Congress, and they still don’t care.
Why don’t they care? They don’t care because Obama, Pelosi and Reid are hard-core ideologues on a personal mission to transform the United States into a socialist country and they’re not going to let anything including the American people stand in their way.
Obama believes in the nanny-state. He actually believes that the United States would be a much better place if he simply had the power to tell you what to do, how much of your money you can keep, where you can live, where you can work, where your children can go to school. In short, he wants control over every aspect of your life.
And, as with his effective takeover of the banks and the auto industry and his plans to institute so-called Cap-and-Trade legislation, ObamaCare is a pivotal aspect of their plan to achieve that goal. If they can tell you and your family what kind of health care you are allowed to receive, whether you live or die, Obama, Pelosi and Reid have won a major battle in their quest to control you.
The Obama strategy is clear. The summit was, as Dick Morris told us, “designed to fail” … it was nothing more than a ruse and a stall.
Calling the summit gave Obama and Pelosi and Reid time to plot the resurrection of ObamaCare behind the scenes and it gave Obama a weak and pathetic excuse to paint Republicans as “obstructionists” and “justify” what was coming the whole time, an attempt to steam-roller Republican objections through legislative shenanigans and shove ObamaCare down our throats.
Naive Republicans fell for the trap. Desperate to avoid the accusation that they were “obstructionist,” they gave Barack Obama all the ammunition he needed to do just that. And to make matters worse, they are totally oblivious to the fact that the American people desperately want them to obstruct ObamaCare.
That’s why we can’t wait for our political leaders to draw a line in the sand. They’re so out of touch, they simply won’t do what needs to be done. That’s why it’s up to us, the American people, to win this battle. If the tide is to be turned, it will come as a result of unprecedented action by citizens demanding members of Congress listen.
