We older Americans have saddled our youth with a mind-boggling public debt—over $20 trillion already spent ($14.3 trillion of “official” national debt plus various off-budget expenditures, according to the U.S. Treasury); trillions more of projected deficit-spending over the coming decade; and tens of trillions of dollars of unfunded liabilities.
By the time today’s toddlers can vote, it is likely that both the Medicare and Social Security funds will be exhausted. Many of today’s older Americans vehemently oppose any and all attempts to restructure those entitlement programs to extend their viability. Instead, the graybeard generation expects younger Americans to endure the oppressive tax burden that will be needed to keep the entitlement promises fully funded.
My generation should be ashamed of what we have done to younger Americans. No, we haven’t sold them into child prostitution, but we have placed them in bondage to the most massive debts in world history. We have led these innocent lambs to a financial slaughterhouse.
To add insult to injury, we show our lack of regard for the young by regarding them as second-class citizens in….

Well why don't you just tell congress, the democrats, and obama the spendthrift, the good news. As a senior I worked 40 years, sometimes 2 jobs and still did not have enough to put a large amount aside. In the job market I had to fight affirmative action and relatives and special friends for positions. I started drawing in 2009 and have not received a colb, but congress appointed themselves a $3000 cost of living. SO TAKE IT TO THE PEOPLE THAT SHOULD HEAR IT!!! Oh and by the way I don't have children I must have been too busy working.
Social Security and Medicare ARE entitlements if the person collecting them are of retirement age. By dictionary definition, they are the ONLY entitlements as recipients have been paying for them for years and are entitled to reap the benefits as promised. All the rest are welfare pure and simple, the unconstitutional taking from one group citizens (tax payers) to hand out free of charge to another (the shiftless lay abouts that take for granted the benefits they receive every month).
A non-resident is not intitaled to a damn thing. Cut off every non-resident program before you screw with my SS. It`s not my fault the government couldn`t keep their hands off of it and spent it. People that come here illegal are criminals and should be treated as criminals. Jail time, fresh meat, Go in straight, come out gay.
I couldn't disagree more… It was the US Governement, not the US general public that spent those trillions. It was therefore the US Government who place our children in the poor house not we the people. Keep in mind that it is the US Government that wants to inslave its people. It is the US Governemtn who refuses to live up to expectation while they fill their pockets and store the cash in foreign lands for their retirements. It is the US Government that sits idly by while the country takes a financial nosedive. It is the US Government who gives itself rediculous raises in pay and then gives themselves full retirement for the rest of their lives, until they die. The rest of us, according to them, can just suck on the governements hind tit… And, then they say; to hell with the rights and needs of the American people. It is we the people of Congress who deserve all the rights….
