National Debt SC S&P Affirms Reduced Rating Of Long term US Debt

WASHINGTON (AP) — The rating agency that downgraded the U.S. government’s long-term credit rating last year has reiterated its assessment and its negative outlook. It says U.S. political leaders aren’t addressing the federal debt burden.

Standard & Poor’s said Friday that it’s keeping its rating of U.S. long-term debt at “AA+.” It cut the rating in August after a battle in Congress over whether to raise the nation’s borrowing limit. Previously, the U.S. government had always received a “AAA” rating, reserved for the most credit-worthy borrowers.

At the time, S&P said it lowered the credit rating in part because it had lost some confidence in the U.S. political system. On Friday, it made clear that hasn’t changed.

So, are the idiots in Washington going to sit on their behinds, doing nothing to repair the damage, and let our credit rating be downgraded once again? Are they going to ignore the problems, and hope they will go away? We are headed for the same situation as Greece and Spain, if this continues, and for us, it will be a thousand times worse, we are bigger, and as such, the harder we will fall.
On Election day in November, we should vote them all out, all incumbents should be put out on the streets. If it were possible, take everything from them that they have stolen from us by their lies and greed, and leave them with only their underwear! Weepy John Bonehead should be at the head of the line of those losers. Then he will have something to REALLY squall about!
