Ben Shapiro, Breitbart’s editor, said on Fox Business Network’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight” that even though President Barack Obama is running a criminal enterprise, Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) might not be using the right tactic by suing the president.
“I think Boehner’s idea is mainly a cover. I don’t think that the lawsuit is actually going to go anywhere from a legal perspective because the Supreme Court generally tends to refer this to what is called the political question doctrine; they tend not to get involved in disputes between the various branches of government.”
After being asked how the president can be held accountable for his possible criminal use of executive actions, Shapiro replied:
“No one is going to be able to compel President Obama to do his job with honor and duty; he’s incapable of that.”
“Congress should throw it to the people,” he continued. “They should allow us to sue members of the Obama administration; they should expand the Racketeer Influence & Corrupt Organizations Act of 1970.”
Shapiro finished by saying, “There is no safer place to be on the planet if you’re a criminal than inside the Obama administration.”
