Wisconsin GOP Votes To Uphold Right To Secede

A growing number of advocates – in a growing number of states – have concluded in recent years that secession from the U.S. in in their best interest. Patriots upset with the ongoing federal assault on liberty are pushing for the radical solution to a problem that doesn’t appear to be subsiding.

Reports indicate the Wisconsin GOP’s Resolutions Committee voted earlier this month to accept a proposal upholding the state’s right, “under extreme circumstances, to secede.”

That resolution is apparently gaining traction among many of the state’s disillusioned residents, many of whom are expected to weigh in on the matter during the state Republican Party convention next month.

Set to take place in Milwaukee between May 2 and 4, Republican delegates will decide whether to give the proposal a final OK.

Obviously, the idea is a tough sell for many of the party’s entrenched leaders – including Gov. Scott Walker.

In an attempt to disavow the resolution, he said: “I don’t think that one aligns with where most Republican officials are in the state of Wisconsin – certainly not with me.”

Plenty of other Wisconsinites, however, believe that desperate times call for desperate – and decisive – action.

Former committee member Danny Krueger explained that the symbolic measure only reflects the growing frustration among those who are tired of “big government” and federal intrusion. In fact, he said, the idea of secession actually follows in the tradition of America’s founders, who bravely fought to separate from an increasingly tyrannical British rule.

“If that’s crazy talk,” he said, “I would be happy to carry that as a badge of honor.”

Talks of secession in Wisconsin – and several other states – is seen by some as a direct indictment of this administration’s promise to “fundamentally transform” the nation. Although a campaigning Obama asserted America has several more states than our flag would suggest, his unconstitutional policies might be responsible for the U.S. losing states.

It is time every state succeed…take back their rights…demand we live by the 1776 Constitution….NOT the 1871 constitution.

  2. None of this means anything if the dems manage to push thru eliminating the electoral college and going with the popular vote. As states such as New York, Colorado, Maryland and others have seen secession movements begin becausde the metro areas are dominating the vote and runnning roughshod over everyone. Dems now want to use that same process so that the big cities can also run over other states, for instance, Ohio. Lower population states would be overwhelme.

A big question during obama’s tenure: Is there a peaceful civil secession of Red States underway? Those states that have grown tired of the overbearing Obama and see it as no longer intolerable could engage in conduct that would amount to de facto if not a de jure secession from the United States. Red Staters have long recognized that if we can’t find a way to stop Obama’s shredding of our Constitution by his arrogant abuse of Executive Orders we are certainly headed for a Constitutional crisis not seen since the Civil War. Obama’s continued assaults on the rule of law to win support and reelection from those with no stake in our country are now coming at a dangerous pace. His narcissistic “L’État, c’est moi” (Judge Dred “I AM THE LAW”) delusion must be stopped or at some point a state governor will refuse to comply with one of his Executive Orders, even one backed up by the liberal Supreme Court. We already have dozens of states that have indicated they will not comply with the requirements of Obamacare. Given these facts, unless King Barack I is stopped, how far off could widespread constructive secession be? Before we succeed, we have to try the states right for nullification! Who doesn’t remember Carter imposing a 55 mph national speed limit and any state that did not comply, didn’t receive Federal highway money. States eventually said screw you to that, and now we have liberalized, locally controlled speed limits. Pure craziness it is, but just as the Feds tried to limit the speed at which we traveled, they are attempting to control every aspect of our lives. From education, property, self protection, and health care, tyranny is upon us.
