Same-Sex Ceremony On Military Base Sparks Outrage

A same-sex ceremony between a lesbian couple in the base chapel at Fort Polk in Louisiana has created a storm of controversy among conservative religious leaders and a growing number of lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

“The liberal social experiment with our military continues,” Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) told Fox News Radio. “A same-sex marriage-like ceremony should not have occurred at Fort Polk, especially since the people of Louisiana have made it abundantly clear that our state does not recognize same-sex marriages or civil unions.”

Fort Polk is in Fleming’s congressional district. The Fort Polk Public Affairs Office and the Army did not return numerous calls seeking comment.

The ceremony was conducted about three weeks ago by a chaplain for the Disciples of Christ, according to Ron Crews, executive director for the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty.

“It was kept quiet,” Crews told Fox News Radio. He said the service was conducted in the military chapel, under the authorization of the chaplain’s denomination.

A chaplin for “the disciples of Christ”???!!!!! I don’t think Christ had anything to do with this insult to His Holy Name! And, call ME any names you desire, bigot, homophobe, whatever, this same sex “marriage” is an affront to everything that is CHRIST LIKE! And, to everyone, and everything CHRISTIAN! Yes, God does love everyone, but that does not mean that HE APPROVES OF EVERYTHING YOU DO THAT IS WRONG AND A SIN AGAINST NATURE AND GOD! Each chaplin and pastor, and any church leader who puts his or her approval on such sins against God, lies not only to others, but to themselves as well. This behavior is just wrong, it is the reason that God destroyed utterly, Soddom and Gommorah. God’s judgement will come to America very soon, if America does not repent and return to what she once was, a God fearing nation! Between abortion of fetuses, and this same sex “marriage” garbage, it will not be IF God brings down judgement, it will be WHEN! And that time is nearer than is comfortable for us all, for the Wrath of an Angry God is a fearful thing! We are children of God, and our Father is angry with us, as any father would be with disobedient children, and I for one, cannot blame Him! We have become a morally bankrupt nation, and sinful as well, as sinful as Soddom and Gomorrah ever was in their time! We are arrogant to the extreme, and each time we get the chance, we seem to slap God Almighty in the face, with glee. One day, soon, this is going to be the end of us as a free people, and it will only be then that we realize just what we had! By then, it will be too late. America should be deeply ashamed of herself. And if Americans were at all wise, we’d all be on our knees, begging God to forgive us and once again bless us! But we will not repent, so we will not be blessed as a result of our arrogance and many, many, many disgusting sins against Him, our Father, which is in heaven……………….. This Disease in office has spread his disease across our land like what he is, a DISEASE! A SLIMEY DISEASE! And, if he hate and despise him, it is only as it should be, because he is evil, wicked, and from hell, and as such, we hate, or should, ALL EVIL! HATE EVIL AND LOVE GOD! God stands for all that is good and decent. Satan stands for all that is EVIL AND INDECENT! Look around you today, see the evil in our nation, and in our nation’s capitol, and then tell me what good you find! There is none anymore. Sin is upheld, while good is mocked, and those of us who try to live decent and Christian lives are reviled.
