Although the Republican Party is often too complicit or cowardly to hold President Obama accountable for his actions, it is finally showing some tenacity in investigating Obama’s “apparent crime” of partisan fundraising inside the White House. On Monday, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus wrote a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder “to request a Department of Justice investigation into an apparent crime committed by President Barack Obama.” In late June, Obama recorded the “Dinner with Barack and Joe” video, asking Democratic donors to enter a raffle to win dinner with the president and vice president, in the White House Map Room.
The Hatch Act makes it illegal to “solicit…a donation of money or other thing of value in connection with a Federal, State, or local election, while in any room or building occupied in the discharge of official duties.”
Priebus wrote, “The Map Room has been used for a myriad of official duties, including the administration of the oath of office to President Obama by Chief Justice Roberts and the launch of ‘The Campaign to Cut Waste.’”
“If President Obama recorded the video in the Map Room, then it appears he has committed a crime under federal law.”
Priebus noted in the letter he could have called for the appointment of a special prosecutor….

I resent that remark about the Republican Party being cowardly…only the RINOS are cowardly! I personally am a non partisan patriot! I have always detested the REP/DEM mindset! I am a native Texan with enough Cherokee blood in my veins to wonder why the natives didn't scalp the pilgrims when they landed. Even back then the 'white-eyes' spoke with forked tongue. Now it seems we have more snakes in the grass than ever. Along with my Native American blood I have Irish, Deutsch and Dutch. I am fortunate enough to have been born in Texas. I have lived in several other parts of the country but I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else. I vote for the most qualified and patriotic.

I wouldn’t give them the time of day, and calling them cowards is too nice. They are TRAITORS, each and every one of them. I am a Texan also, and I beleive in corporal punishment. That being said, I beleive that TREASON has been and is being comitted, over and over again by this INSULTING TRAITOR, this muSLIME who dirties up not just the “WHITE” House, but is spreading his slimy and filthy ideals and beleifs all over this country. Obama and his ilk should have been hung for treason LONG AGO….I'm tired of hearing about his 'crimes'…they are too numerous to list yet he's still in the WH. Why????? Charge him with TREASON including ALL the people that covered up for him, aided and abetted him, etc. I guarantee you that the Republic would be restored overnight!
I'll tell you why. Its because they're AFRAID to go after a BLACK president! Its ONLY because he's BLACK that he's gotten away with so much and EVERYONE knows it and uses the fact that he IS BLACK to their political advantage. If anyone dares say anything negative, they're branded raciest. Well, I guess I'm RACIEST, because I think he's evil, wrong, a user, liar, horrible leader, AND I believe he's deeply hurt his BLACK heritage. I know several BLACKS who are deeply ashamed of Obama. I've even heard several say, his inability to act intelligently and honestly, doesn't bode well for future BLACK presidential hopefuls because Americans will return to believing BLACKS are intellectually inferior and not able to be given the responsibility to run our country.

IF THERE ARE VIOLATIONS OF LAWS THAT OBAMA COMMITTED, IT SHOULD BE THROUGH CONGRESS OR DIRECTLY THROUGH THE COURTS.. REPUBLICANS ARE SHY OR AFRAID TO PRESS CHARGES AGAINST OBAMA. THOUGH THE IMPEACHABLE OFFENSES OF OBAMA HAS BEEN OVER THE WEBSITES AND AROUND THE AIRWAVES, ESPECIALLY ON CONSERVATIVE TALK SHOW….

Holder won't investigate Bummer. That is a joke. The Republicans have not done anything out of fear. They KNOW, as we all should, that trying to impeach Obozo would start another civil war. They fear losing the black voters that they might have, and losing their cushy jobs. We MUST continue to bombard our senators and congressmen to let them know we ain't kiddin around! Get rid of this man, we don't care if you impeach him, prove he is ineligibe (my personal choice) or run him out of town….I love that Charlotte, NC had an electronic street sign hacked to read IMPEACH OBAMA and NOT ONE PERSON reported it until a TV crew saw the sign.

Reince Priebus is right in pointing out that President Obama has violated the Hatch Act. Unfortunately it is very clear that President Obama feels he doesn't have to abide by the law. He shows this repeatedly. One example being the DOMA law which he has decided he doesn't need to follow and his statements that other laws are not constitutional. Since when does the President decide what is and what is not constitutional? That is what the US Supreme Court is to decide and nobody else!
Haven't you figured it out YET? What ever the king does is right. He can do no wrong. Laws are not meant for him. Even those silly laws we call the Constitution don't apply to the annointed one. That is they only apply to him when he can redefine the language to give him power that he was never intended to have, like his absurd interpretation of the 14th Amendment. Kind of sounds like his brother Bill's definition of "it". The absurdity of this article is that the Justice Dept would EVER consider investigating the king. He violates the Constitution (which incidentally is THE ONLY THING that defines the presidency) every time he enters the White House. His life is a lie, just like everything that comes out of his mouth. OMG – Obama Must Go
If this were his only, or most serious, crime, I would be relieved. And why ask Holder to investigate anything that has happened since November 2008? They're all in on the crimes and misdemeanors. They, and all their appointees, should be impeached, and afterwards run out of town on a rail in tar and feathers.
