Two and a Half Men co-star Angus T. Jones has been in the media spotlight the past few days for his negative comments about the TV program. Though he has apologized for his comments, an analyst points out that he did not recant his proclamation about the show’s crude content.
Jones apologized Tuesday for a series of interviews in which he denounced his own show. Speaking to a Seventh-day Adventist media outlet, the 19-year-old last month called the CBS comedy “filth” and “very inappropriate.” He has cited his religious awakening for his change in attitude toward life and work.
Dan Gainor, vice president of business and culture at the Media Research Center (MRC), speculates whether Jones was pressured to rescind his comments.
“The man just turned 19, has just had a religious awakening. Most of his career on the show he has spent underage, when other people were signing contracts for him,” Gainor notes. “So, now that he’s an adult, he can start making decisions for himself, and he’s clearly not happy about it.”
Jones, who reportedly makes $350,000 an episode, issued a statement Tuesday saying, “I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed.”
“God really is having a hand in his life, because that show, it’s the core of what we have a problem with in our society, where we celebrate all that is bad; we celebrate sex without consequences,” Gainor laments. “It’s oh, you’re supposed to be cheating; you’re supposed to be fooling around; you’re supposed to be doing everything under the sun. And if you’re not, there’s something wrong with you — That’s the message that Hollywood tells our kids.”

Does anyone with a brain even watch this show?? What's the point??
Unfortunately, lots of kids do. Too many parents are irresponsible and allow their children to watch what they want. At least there's hope if one of those who do the show tells the kids the truth.
You're right VirgoVince, I watched about five minutes of the show one time and that was enough for me.
