One of the odd things about the rag Journal News’ “interactive map” releasing the names and addresses of thousands of gun owners in New York is that the reporter who wrote the article is not listed on this “interactive map.”
In fine print on the article/map there is the following little blip: “Editor’s note: Journal News reporter Dwight R. Worley owns a Smith & Wesson 686 .357 Magnum and has had a residence permit in New York City for that weapon since February 2011.”
Why then is Dwight R. Worley not on the map? Well, the newspaper only services Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties and the reporter doesn’t live in these counties. Where does he live? He lives in a suburb outside of Queens.
How convenient.
Apparently it’s okay to have a gun in Queens but not in the “safer” area outside of New York City.
Although you wouldn’t know it by the massive amount of crime in these counties.
But what comes around goes around. A local blogger has published his own “interactive” map listing names and addresses of the reporters and editors at the Journal News. But he’s one-upped the Leftist mouthpiece: his interactive map comes with not only names and addresses, but photos of the employees as well.
The Left is incensed at the “lawlessness” of said blogger. It’s like Obama’s recent statement that he likes having armed guards to protect his daughters, but balks at NRA vice president Wayne LaPierre calling for the same for everyone else’s children.
Their message: It’s good for me, but not for thee.
But the conservative blogger is sending another message: Lefties beware—we’re starting to use your tactics.
Someone said that the American revolutionaries lost battle after battle fighting the British on their terms. But when they changed their strategy—that is, to guerrilla warfare—then they started to win battles.
Maybe conservatives can learn from this blogger—and change their strategy as well.

The end of a newspaper…….staff!
I think that newspaper should provide signs for its unarmed readers' front yards or windows that read "I am defenseless. I do NOT own a gun. This is a gun-free zone." Sure, you think that's ridiculous, right? But then why isn't it equally ridiculous when govt put signs like that at schools and movie theatres put signs like that up at their place of business?
But that's what they already do.
In Colorado, the reason the particular theater was chosen was BECAUSE it advertised it was a "firearm free zone". The "Joker" had went to 5 other theaters first, but because of permitted firearm carry, he chose to move on.
Kennesaw GA passed a law in 1982 that required all heads of households except when prohibited by law, mental disability or religious objection, MUST have a firearm and ammunition in the home. The FIRST murder by a firearm was 15 YEARS after the passing of this bill in 1997 and was done at the ONLY school that chose to be a "firearm free zone". Only 2 other murders happened during this same time, 1984 & 1987, and was committed with knives. They also enjoy a low violent crime rate.

Let's publish the names and addresses and phone numbers of all anti-gun people in our government and those who support them.
Demand that they over lay another map showing the crime rates in the area. for balanced reporting.

You misunderstand. We firearm owners are glad to tell you we are armed. In fact, a lot of us put signs like "This property protected by Smith & Wesson" or "Never mind the dog, beware of the owner" (With a picture of a firearm. My personal favorite) on display on our homes. The concern is for those who acquired a permit because of domestic violence, stalking or because this is an abuse of privacy laws and similar issues.
One thing I LOVE about my state is you ONLY need a permit to carry CONCEALED. No permit needed to strap my Colt .45 acp on my side and walk down the street, which I do every time. Violent crime is low. Just one of the perks.
