WASHINGTON — A new Associated Press-GfK poll finds that President Barack Obama’s approval rating has declined somewhat since his re-election.
Congress’ reputation remains dismal. And only about one in five Americans say they trust the government to do what’s right most of the time.
Most adults disapprove of Obama’s handling of the federal deficit. But they also dislike key proposals to reduce deficit spending. Those include a slower growth in benefits from Social Security and Medicare.
