You can’t understand the liberal mind until you understand the concept of “psychological projection”. It’s when someone has a flaw, but rather than face it, they instead suddenly see that flaw in other people who don’t have it.
For example, a racist might scream out that you’re a racist for no apparent reason. Someone who can’t stand people different than they are on any level might accuse you of being a bigot. Someone who doesn’t particularly care about helping others might call you greedy.
Now, the Democrats have shown another area where they’re projecting onto others their own personal flaws, refusing to accept basic personal responsibility for their own bad character. While bashing the common-sense requirement of requiring voters to use basic ID because it “disenfranchises” minorities somehow, Democrats have now stooped to what might be a new low.
They’re suing Ohio in order to make it more difficult for military members to vote.
Mike Flynn for Breitbert has the full story:
On July 17th, the Obama for America Campaign, the Democratic National Committee and the Ohio Democratic Party filed suit in OH to strike down part of that state’s law governing voting by members of the military. Their suit said that part of the law is “arbitrary” with “no discernible rational basis.”
Currently, Ohio allows the public to vote early in-person up until the Friday before the election. Members of the military are given three extra days to do so. While the Democrats may see this as “arbitrary” and having “no discernible rational basis,” I think it is entirely reasonable given the demands on servicemen and women’s time and their obligations to their sworn duty.
Now why would Obama and his Democrat friends care to make it more difficult for the military to vote? It’s got nothing to do with being “democratic” because they only support democracy when the people voting agree with them. The real reason is simple. Veterans support Romney by a landslide.
Data for active duty personnel is more fuzzy, but it’s probably fair to say that Obama cutting their pay while they were in harms way and cutting their healthcare benefits while serving America probably wasn’t a great vote builder.
In the end, the Democrats need to be the one silenced on the topic of “disenfranchising” voters. They seem to think minorities are too incompetent to get an ID card and are worried about them, but are wasting time and money suing so they can make it that much more difficult to see what the troops want. The real difference between the two issues? Only one voter group supports Obama. So they get different treatment. That’s just low, even for Barack.
