If Obama Treated Koran Burning like the Ground Zero Mosque

Although he would not say a word about Iran’s human rights violations after Mahmoud Ahmadinejiad tortured protesters of the stolen presidential election last summer, Barack Obama brought the full weight of the presidential bully pulpit down against 50 people planning to burn the Koran this Saturday. Obama told George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America this morning the would-be Koran-burners’ “stunt” is “completely contrary to our values of Americans…this country has been built on the notions of religious freedom and religious tolerance.”

That is an interesting about-face on the right of religious people to exercise the First Amendment. Less than a month ago, he declared his support for the Ground Zero Mosque, telling Muslims at an Iftar dinner:

Let me be clear: As a citizen and as president I believe that Muslims have the right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country. That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances.

He later said he was only reiterating their constitutional rights and “will not comment on the wisdom” of planting a victory mosque atop the graves of 3,000 jihad victims. But he felt no constraint commenting on the “wisdom” of a tiny Christian church burning the Muslims’ “holy” book. Although he showed enthusiasm for the First Amendment rights of Muslims, he tried to sic the local police on Pastor Jones, stating that he found the Dove World Outreach Center’s rights “frustrating”….

Was Obama’s Family in the CIA?

President Obama – as well as his mother, father, step-father and grandmother – all were connected to the Central Intelligence Agency – possibly explaining why the President praises the “Agency” and declines to prosecute its officials for their crimes.

According to a published report in the September Rock Creek Free Press of Washington, D.C., investigative reporter Wayne Madsen says Obama’s mother Ann Dunham worked “on behalf of a number of CIA front operations, including the East-West Center at the University of Hawaii, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Ford Foundation.” The East-West Center had long been affiliated with CIA activities in the Asia-Pacific region, Madsen says.

What’s more, Obama’s father, Barack Obama Sr., arrived in Hawaii from Kenya as part of a CIA program to identify and train Africans who would be useful to the Agency in its Cold War operations against the Soviets, Madsen says. Obama Sr. divorced Ms. Dunham in 1964.

Ms. Dunham married Lolo Soetoro the following year, a man Madsen says assisted in the violent CIA coup against Indonesian President Sukarno that claimed a million lives. Obama’s mother taught English for USAID, “which was a major cover for CIA activities in Indonesia and throughout Southeast Asia,” Madsen reports. That USAID was a cover for CIA covert operations in Laos was admitted by its administrator Dr. John Hannah on Metromedia News. Madsen says the organization was also a cover for the CIA in Indonesia.

Ms. Dunham worked in Indonesia at a time when Midwest Universities Consortium for International Activities (MUCIA) – a group that included the University of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Minnesota and Indiana – was accused of being a front for CIA activities in Indonesia and elsewhere. Ms. Dunham traveled to Ghana, Nepal, Bangladesh, India and Thailand “working on micro-financing projects” for the CIA, Madsen reports.

Obama’s Secret Link to Hamas

Despite President Obama’s speech last week praising our brave men and women in uniform, the ugly truth is that our president is more comfortable cozying up with pro-terror activists than pro-military groups. In fact, Obama has a disturbing history with activists who support Hamas, Hezbollah, the Taliban, and more.

At the time I left my position in the Clinton White House I certainly couldn’t have imagined we’d elect anyone more inept than Bill Clinton. Nor could I have predicted that just seven years after we’d been attacked and gone to war, we’d elect the most radical left-wing president in our nation’s history.  Few seem to have noticed, until recently, that Barack Obama is inclined to dispense with the key precepts our forefathers valued: a robust defense of American sovereignty and our national interest for one; limited government for another; fiscal prudence for a third.

Similarly, few seem to have noticed that our new president is the most radical president in American history, with views more often associated with left-wing banana republic dictators than with a president of the United States.

While many Democrats are naturally inclined to support “peace movements,” how many have embraced the support, as Obama did, of Jodie Evans of Code Pink whose group not only supports our nation’s enemies in time of war but has made it policy to besmirch our nation’s servicemen and their families to the point of holding cruel and belittling protests at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center?

Barack Obama’s first major event after announcing his long-shot run for the presidency in February 2007 was a Hollywood fundraiser co-hosted by Jodie Evans that elevated him into the national  spotlight.  Evans successfully pulled together the rich and the radical in Los Angeles, and Obama was on his way to eventual election to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

But Evans is not just a skilled fundraiser with big time connections in the entertainment industry.  She is a radical left-wing activist devoted to gutting our military and supporting our nation’s enemies. Since 9/11, Evans and Code Pink have set their sights squarely on the U.S. military and damaging America’s war against Islamist terrorism. They’ve been at the forefront of an anti-war effort seeking to systematically undermine the American military and bring about defeat for American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Just a few weeks prior to her Hollywood shindig for Obama, for example, Evans and her Code Pink sisters were in Havana conspiring with Fidel Castro and his government seeking ways to pressure the Bush Administration into releasing the terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay. Evans doesn’t draw the line at snuggling up with some of the world’s vilest dictators and despots.
She’s also forged close relationships with  murderous terror groups Hamas, Hezbollah, the Taliban, the Sunni insurgents in Iraq, and, the patriarch of all terror organizations, the Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama’s Record: More Debt in 19 Months than First 200 Years

In the first 19 months of the Obama administration, the federal debt held by the public increased by $2.5260 trillion, which is more than the cumulative total of the national debt held by the public that was amassed by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Ronald Reagan.

The U.S. Treasury Department divides the federal debt into two categories. One is “debt held by the public,” which includes U.S. government securities owned by individuals, corporations, state or local governments, foreign governments and other entities outside the federal government itself. The other is “intragovernmental” debt, which includes I.O.U.s the federal government gives to itself when, for example, the Treasury borrows money out of the Social Security “trust fund” to pay for expenses other than Social Security.
