President Barack Hussein Obama’s recent decision to grant asylum to the DREAMers, the offspring of illegal immigrants, has been termed by him as being “the right thing to do.” It does not grant them “a pathway to citizenship” – or so he says-for now. As a native-born American, of legal immigrants to this country, I have a bone of contrition with this executive order – done without the voice of the American people, against the will of our legislative branch of the Federal government as a means of garnering the Latino vote in the 2012 Presidential Election.
To best understand the DREAMer situation, let us look at the numbers. There are an estimated 1.4 million DREAMers, children of immigrants who came to this country illegally with their families who do not have legal status. These children differ from “Anchor Babies”, a term used for children born in the United States to illegal immigrants who “anchor” their families via a child born into citizenship. “DREAMers” is the term used by the National Council of La Raza’s (NCLR) president Janet Murguia for illegal immigrants who would have qualified for a pathway to citizenship under the DREAM ACT – an act that has been sent to Congress in many forms and was ultimately voted down in 2010 and 2011. Despite the Census Campaign’s attempt to lure illegal immigrants into acknowledging their presence in the United States, estimates of illegal immigrants range from over 11 million to as many as 20 million people.
President Obama himself, on CBS News last September, commented: “Our administration has supported the basic concept that we are a nation of laws.” Mr. Obama further said: “We’re also a nation of immigrants” and “we have to create a system that works for all of us.” He further asserted that although he has been pressured by Latino activists to write an executive order to allow the DREAMers a pathway to citizenship, he would wait for the DREAM Act to be passed by Congress. “This notion that somehow I can just change the laws unilaterally is just not true,” President Obama told the reporters. “There are laws on the books that I have to enforce. I think that there’s been a great disservice done to the cause of getting the DREAM Act passed…by perpetrating the notion by myself I can go and do these things.”
And on a sunny day in the White House Rose Garden, on June 10, 2012, President Obama bypassed Congress and deemed that “the right thing to do” was to halt the deportation of undocumented youths by crafting an immediate policy…”to be fair …efficient… and just.” In short, he lied to the American people – and took back his words. He blamed the Republicans for the failure of the DREAM Act “due to politics” and said we are “expelling” our young people due to the “actions of their parents and politicians.” With his very words, President Obama made this into a pathetic attempt to pander to the Latino vote for his re-election.
By his actions, and through bypassing and overriding the decision of Congress, the lawmaking body of the United States Federal government, President Obama exceeded his authority and acted in direct violation of the mandate set forth by Congress. This is by its very nature illegal and is a failure to uphold the Constitution of the United States and the laws of our land – something he took an oath to do when reciting the Oath of Office on January 20, 2009. It also is a clear effort to supersede the checks and balances system set up by our Founding Fathers when establishing the three branches of the federal government: judicial, executive, and legislative. This illegal action of the President of the United States, in violation of the legislative mandate of the Congress of the United States, is tantamount to high treason.
There is a reason why the checks and balances system of the three branches of the federal government exists – to prevent any one branch from exerting dictatorial powers over our Republic. President Obama’s action to grant asylum to the DREAMers is the clear action of a dictator who has no respect for the checks and balances system of our federal government and is a desperate ploy by a desperate man to hold onto a level of power far beyond that granted by our Constitution. His action is not only illegal, but it is against the will of the majority of the American people, thus violating the central premise of our entire nation – a nation of the people, BY the people, and FOR THE PEOPLE.
Obama’s dream…America’s nightmare. Plain and simple, he lied. He lied to you. He lied to me. And he lied to the American people. But even worse was that he violated the very laws he was sworn to uphold and, in so doing, he became a criminal (not unlike the criminals, young DREAMers or old, he is pandering to.) Illegal is illegal, whether it is an illegal immigrant or an illegal act by the President of the United States of America. No one, not even the President of the United States, is above the laws of the land. Only dictators don’t have to answer to the laws of the land and the will of the people.

America, we now rewrite them. We got rid of the communist & socialist
threat by renaming them progressives. If you protest against Obama's
policies you're a terrorist, but if you burn an American flag or George
Bush in effigy, it's your 1st Amendment right.
You can have pornography on TV or the internet, but you better not
put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas. In America,
criminals are now called sick people. The government takes money
from those who work hard & gives it to those who are lazy. Parenting
has been replaced with Ritalin & video games. The land of opportunity
is now the land of hand outs.
And how do we handle a major crisis today? The Government
appoints a committee to determine who's at fault, then threatens
them, passes a law, raises our taxes, then tells us the problem is
solved so they can get back to their reelection campaign.
You get that right Raymond everything you said is true.

Well, I guess it depends which side of the fence you are standing on, if you believe in Americas values and freedoms or do you believe in Obummer. Is the glass half full or empty? me I say it`s Americas Nightmare but the Freebe crowd probably thinks is their1s and Obummer`s dream.
Obama will answer to a Higher Power after he leaves office for his ruin of our nation. No one commits the crimes in office and receives his just desserts in the afterlife.
He hasn't participated in the ruin of this nation by himself. There are so many, it's a nightmare to us patriots!
How is this the "right thing to do"?
The RIGHT thing to do would be to deport all illegal aliens so CITIZENS can find work.
The RIGHT thing to do would be to remove all the sponges off welfare to further fund programs that we MUST pay, and DESERVE to be paid, like Social Security and Medicare.
The RIGHT thing to do would be to stop the over spending to get our national debt under control.
The RIGHT thing to do is to stop oblameo's over reaching power grab.
But oblameo isn't worried about doing the RIGHT thing, just what he feels is right for VOTES.
The “Righter” thing to do would be to not run for re-election, as he “promised” to, when running for office. He said that if he couldn’t fix our problems in one term, he didn’t deserve to have a second term. Not the exact words, but what they “meant” when he said them. Of course, he lies with every breath he takes, so this is not surprising, considering the source…..he intends to stay in office for life, and unless we do what we are going to have to do, he will stay there until he dies. An emperor, or dictator, or worse, is the question as to what he would be if he isn’t evicted, thrown out, marched out, or however he goes out, one way or another, he has to go, and go soon! Waiting for November is going to be too late, from what I read and hear. This situation has got to change, and change soon, so that we will indeed, have some HOPE of a future America, minus the ILLEGALS that spread like a disease or like the Head Disease in Office has spread his diseases across our nation like the Black Plague of old! At least with a plague, we could perhaps find a cure, but with this LIVING, BREATHING DISEASE IN WASHINGTON, THERE SEEMS TO BE NO CURE EXCEPT ERADICATION OF HIMSELF AND ALL OF HIS FELLOW DISEASES FROM BOTH PARTIES! Oh, “parties” is about the size of it, they party at our expense, and we suffer while they eat and make merry in Washington, with the billions of our tax dollars. AND give what’s left to the ILLEGALS WHO DO NOT BELONG HERE!

obama is nothing but a pawn of the one world people. He is a weak, spineless creature that simply does their bidding when he told to and their bidding is to allow more and more illegals to effectively do away with borders and our country. What the illegals are too blind to see is that they are being used. They come here and work for less pay ect then citizens do probably thinking that if they become citizens things will get better for them. But they will never be citizens and things will never get better because that is the objective of the one world people. Everyone will be a peon, migrants moved where needed and then discarded like trash when not needed. The elderly and the handicapped will be eliminated as they will be deemed useless….welcome to the new world order!
Obama clearly violated Article 1, Sec 8 of our Constitutuion when he granted asylum to the DREAMERS, and as of now he has gotten away with it. Where is the outcry from the professed to be conservative Republicans in both the House and Senate that we trusted and elected to office? They took an oath to defend our constitution and they do nothing. I have written them demanding that they enact impeachment proceedings immediately. They simply do not respond. True enough there are not enough Republican votes in the Senate to be successful, but that does not relieve them of their responsibilty to honor their oath of office.
so what are we gonna do. ??
First off, this should not even be an issue should we have followed and enforced our laws in the first place. Second, these are Mexican citizens, this is Mexico’s problem, we should be asking Mexico what they intend to with all their people over here costing us tax payers billions and billions of dollars. The question should be, when will we be reimbursed for the billions of dollars we spend babysitting their citizens and when will Mexico be accountable for the welfare of these people. These illegal’s take precedence over our very own citizens of this country. We can’t do anything without worrying about these illegal’s “rights”. Ask for I.D.? Oh, no, what about the legals, they don’t have I.D. (if they do, it’s illegal). If we use false I.D’s , false social security numbers, or do not pay our taxes, we go to jail. But with the illegals, we look the other way, or better yet, reward them with green cards or even better, citizenship. Our paper work has to be bi-lingual, cause what about the legals? None of this should be an issue, had we enforced our laws in the first place. The government has failed the citizens of this country. Dept. of homeland security has totally failed and should be shut down. Now D.H.S. is telling our border patrol they cannot shoot at the cartels if they enter our country, and if one of our border patrols gets cornered they can then “throw” things, and if that does not work, they can then call the local police. Nice.
The president should be doing everything possible to put Americans to work. Overwhelming an already bad situation (too few jobs, high unemployment) with more people (those here illegally) looking for jobs is about as stupid as it comes. Soon their entire extended family will be reunited here – and each one of those people's extended families, etc, and many of them will be looking for jobs. Reunite them all in their homeland!
The parents decided to bring their children here when they themselves came here illegally. Not the child's fault. OK. But that doesn't mean we have to make it right. The parents and the child/children should all go home. It was a risk to come, the child got educated which is what they wanted, now go home and use that education to better your own country.
No risk I ever took had such a safety net. No decision my parents made for me had such a safety net. Why do Illegals get a safety net? They came here with no guarantees. It was a risk. Too bad, so sad. There are consequences for every action and they are not always pleasant. They came with the knowledge and expectation that they may one day have to go back home so send them home.
There are many abuses of our hospitality by Illegals. They have abused every loophole found in our system. This one will be abused as well, and it will only encourage more people to come here illegally and wait out the next courtesy handed out to make Illegals all feel rosey.
People here illegally should not have the same privileges as American and legal citizens. We have allowed ourselves to be bullied into submission and have bent over backwards to make Illegals happy. Why? They are here outside of the law! The shear numbers of them is the reason they are able to bully us. That should be reason enough to stop them.
The only EXECUTIVE ORDERS that should have taken place was to mandate the use of E-Verify across the country, and to cut back immigration numbers until we are back on track economically.
Mr. President, you have failed this country miserably!
OBAMA is a socialist that's why he's trying to destroy our country. November is our last hope for stopping him from his dictatorship.
