In his latest move, California Gov. Jerry Brown approved a bill allowing individuals without a medical degree to perform abortions. According to its sponsor, the measure’s intended goal is to increase the number of babies legally murdered in the state.
Democrat Assemblywoman Toni Atkins, apparently upset there is not an abortion mill on every corner, introduced the bill as a way to “ensure that no woman has to travel excessively long distances or wait for long periods in order to obtain an early abortion.”
Such minor inconvenience could cause a woman to reconsider disposing of her offspring, which leftists cannot allow.
Under the new law, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, and other employees without a medical license will be able to perform an in utero homicide.
According to Coalition for Women and Children Executive Director Wynette Sills, this move proves that Brown “has put the profits of the abortion industry above the health and well-being of women and children.”
Members of the state’s Republican leadership agreed, explaining the shift will translate to an increased potential for risk. This bill was criticized by a number of advocacy groups, though it unsurprisingly got the support of usual suspects including Planned Parenthood.
Abortion supporters originally stated their desire for the barbaric procedure to be considered “safe, legal, and rare.” As this bill proves, today’s proponents only care that it is legal.
