Even more delightful than the Wednesday night whoopin Mitt Romney put on Barack Obama was the pain expressed by left-wing media and other pundits clearly in shock at what was universally looked upon as the president’s disastrous performance.
National Journal Editor-in-Chief Ron Fournier passed off the destruction of the Golden Boy as “the curse of incumbency.” “Like many of his predecessors,” writes the longtime AP reporter, “President Obama fell victim Wednesday night to high expectations, a short fuse, and a hungry challenger.”
“I don’t know what he was doing out there. He had his head down, he was enduring the debate rather than fighting it,” lamented Chris Matthews about Obama’s style and all-round effort in the important first public view of the two candidates. “Obama should watch MSNBC, my last point. He will learn something every night on this show and all these shows.” Obama’s leg-tingle shill no longer considers it necessary to hide from the public his belief that a few nights of following MSNBC programming would instruct the president as to the finer points of making his genius known to the American people!
And poor little Andrew Sullivan. “I can see the logic of some of Obama’s meandering, weak, professorial arguments,” wrote the supremely leftist flack, apparently unable to believe Obama hadn’t purposely thrown the debate, perhaps with some deep, future trap in mind for an oblivious Mitt Romney. Sullivan did eventually blame both Jim Lehrer, “one of the lamest moderators ever,” and Mitt Romney’s “very, very vague and deceptive” closing statement for at least a portion of Obama’s troubles. But in the end, even Sullivan had to admit that Romney had dominated the debate. In fact, so completely undone was Andrew that he actually said a bad word AND handed the election to Romney at the same moment! “How is Obama’s closing statement so f***ing sad, confused and lame? He choked. He lost. He may even have lost the election tonight.”
Bill Maher, one of a long line of liberal comedians who actually think themselves funny, went from months of trashing Mitt Romney to saying of Obama, “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Obama looks like he does need a teleprompter.”
After initially blaming Jim Lehrer for having “allowed Mitt Romney to act as moderator”, apparently believing this somehow threw Obama off his stride, Obama spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter claimed the president actually accomplished his true purpose of connecting with voters at home. Never say die.
But the best excuse by far for Mitt Romney’s having cleaned the arrogant clock of the future one term president was offered by Al Gore. Being the expert he is in the diabolical vagaries of Mother Earth, Gore actually blamed the Denver altitude for Barack Obama’s drubbing. It seems Romney had prepared in Denver for an entire day while the president had arrived only a few hours prior to the debate. “When you come to 5000 feet and have only a few hours to adjust,” said Gore before trailing off into an ether of smirk and a knowing smile.
If anything equals the joy of watching Barack Obama, the reputedly golden-tongued idol of the American left go down in utter defeat, it’s watching the devastation of his shills as they grope for some new meaning in their once full and happy lives. Mitt Romney is a cool and savvy customer. We may well be treated to widespread displays of liberal angst twice more before November 6th.

watching the debate last night and seeing obama with his head down was awsome. if i had destroyed this country the way obama has i would put my head down also. he knows that every thing romney said was the truth. guess thats why he wouldn't look up. i hope that people wake up in november and vote for romney and hopefully he can make America great again.
Our system of government does work. Romney demonstrated he is the right man for the job. Thank God we have an electoral system in place. And thank God we are a Republic, not a Democracy. Obama was not properly vetted and those responsible should be prosecuted. Several Democrats and Republicans need to be removed from office. They are culpable for allowing this charade to go on as long as it has. Obama is being used and whoever is pulling the strings needs to be exposed and prosecurted. Every true American should be "MAD AS HELL". We must learn from this and never let it happen again. Ron Paul and Tea Party members deserve a lot of credit for their relentless efforts to return to the "blueprint" laid out in our Constitution….Less Government, More Freedom and More Responsibility.
I wonder if the left and the MSM will cheer him on when the Fraud and his gang stage a scam/incident to have a excuse to avoid the elections and call for martial law…….yes mr………….president, you have been outed again.
Oh I hope we get to see it twice more. Look what we have been forced to endure…And it they don't put obama in prison after the election, we will not be free of the pain of ever seeing or hearing him ever ever ever, for a long time..That is harsh punishment because a bunch of crooks, thieves and liars decided to ruin America forever…and by hook and crook.
Thank you Governor Romney…you put this fool in his place with a dunce cap on.
Somewhat expected from an Amateur, but then again his only experience is in telling BS. I'm sure the questions were provided to both sides well in advance but responses from the other side are difficult to script and unfortunate for BO, the teleprompter was not on his podium beneath his notes.
MR needs to solidify and simply explain his plans while forcing BO to defend his actions and failures.
O has nothing to run on because everything he has "done" has turned out to be complete failures!!! The real O is finally being vetted – FINALLY!!!!
This was one venue that Obama could not intimidate with his Chicago thuggery politics! He was strangled!
Golden tongued, all B0 did was stutter, stumble, hesitate, and get lost trying to read Teleprompters. He flunked out of every school he attended, and he has hidden his grades, he may have only worked as a youth and lived off his Pakistani boy friend.
You need to wake up.
Ah, the goldened tongued hero of all Liberalism rolled it out and walked all over it, which is exactly what will happen every time he attempts to speak without a teleprompter and, by the way, even if he has a teleprompter and a word used by educated people comes up which he has not been familiar with he will screw it up too.
Obama is showing his true education, Columbia, Harvard, an education is being present and actually participating in the project. Obama was a ghost because no one has the slightest idea that he was there. Talk about a ZERO…
Kleenex is making a FORTUNE off all the whining and crying Democrats after Romney slaughtered Obama at the debate!
To put mildly Obama bit off more than he chew and the bad taste in his mouth hurt him and his fans badly.
I am glad to see Gov Romney make a great first round in the debates. My observations are that Romney was simply better prepared and had the advantage of everything being in the tank economically. However, watch for the next debate, when Obama may come out like Sherman marching to Atlanta. Again, if his foreign policies continue to blow up one country revolution at a time, he will lack the facts to support his great ambitions. Will Romney be bold enough to openly speak of Obama's covert aid and even military actions to assist the Muslim Brotherhood overthrow governments in Arab countries? Also, will Obama's sealing off the congressional investigation of crimes during Fast a Ferious gun running by DOJ be discussed? The American people deserve to hear answers about Obama's role in these questionable matters.
The entire debate was a major victory for Romney. His strong performance and total knowledge of facts, defeated an imcumbent who can't run on his record, and had his lies challenged for the first time in a public forum. The emperor has no clothes, and showed his total lack of real world, not academia, knowledge. His failure was not in preparation, but his record, which is undefensible except by the lame stream media sycophants. He was shown for what he is, a fraud. His incompetence and lack of real world experience, coupled with his big government ideology and failed policies were what defeated him.
No matter how he performs, he can't hide from a record of failure. I still want an answer to the open mike with the Russian when he said he would have greater flexabilty, and why does he kowtow to Putin?
Well, the ever arrogant bama got his butt kicked by Romney. Someone actually stood up to bama which must have sent shock waves through him. He is used to having people around him who will praise everything he says and then lick his shoes clean.
It was just fun to see this self centered, arrogant, worthless jerk put in his place. He and his loser wife have spent millions of our tax dollars on vacations without a care in the world. They will waste more before he is out so the sooner we can dump him the better.
