Three months after Barack Hussein Obama’s January 2009 inauguration, Department of Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano made an almost humorous claim about the ethics of her organization, stating, “We are on the lookout for criminal and terrorist activity but we do not—nor will we ever—monitor ideology or political beliefs…”
Yet with the same obvious political agenda displayed by Homeland Security and its many federal handmaidens since the 9/11 attacks, Napolitano’s Department in 2009 deliberately ignored the Islamic elephant in the room, opting instead to warn the American public of the threat posed by the TRULY dangerous among us, epitomized by those who own Gadsden “Don’t Tread on Me” flags, those who own guns and by fervent believers in the Constitution of the United States.
No ideology? No political beliefs? The 2009 assessment of “Right Wing Extremism” published by Obama’s DHS was such an obvious assault on the Constitutional rights (and intelligence) of those with ideological and political beliefs unacceptable to the Regime that Napolitano had to withdraw it, apologize for its content and invent the lame excuse that it had been introduced before it was ready.
But with a limitless supply of tax dollars in DHS coffers, Napolitano has continued and extended the administration’s attack on the right with a new department lexicon, labeling as “extreme” anything contrary to the views of proponents of the liberal agenda. Passed off as a handy guide to “standardize the terms” used by the Department in defining the threat of “homegrown violent extremism,” it is actually an attempt to standardize the views of the American public as to who and what a terrorist is!
Of course, the words “Muslim” and “Islam” are still missing, even though since 9/11 some 18,000 Islamic terror attacks have taken place around the world. Only ONE carried out by a non-Muslim—that of Norwegian Anders Breivik.
Contrary to Napolitano’s fantastic claim, everything the DHS does is “ideological and political.” Nor is it the Department’s intent to protect the public and the nation from the activities of terrorists. Rather it is to literally instill in the American people a fear of state and federal authority. Not a respect, but a fear.
Janet Napolitano’s Department of Homeland Security has served notice on the American public that those who maintain the Obama-led federal government is a threat to, rather than guarantor of their liberty may henceforth be considered dangerous and extreme. Laws are now in place which authorize the President to imprison anyone he considers a threat to commit or support an act of terrorism. And right now, no one knows if that may one day include the writer of this piece and those who read and agree with its premise.
But it is certain that the Department of Homeland Security has as its principal aim the elimination by intimidation of any thought or deed contrary to the will and authority of the state. And it has spent 10 years on cruise control toward that very objective.
