A demonstration at Wake Technical Community College in North Carolina ended in the arrest of five protesters and further exposed the vainglorious nature of illegal aliens.
The crowd of students, living in constant violation of America’s laws, want to be treated not only as citizens of the country but of the state in which they choose to attend college. Currently, the school allows illegals to attend, albeit at the higher, out-of-state tuition rate.
That policy seems more than fair, considering their homeland is not located within the U.S., let alone the state of North Carolina.
One member of the mob, Jose Rico, called the policy “discriminatory” without a hint of irony. Merely living in this nation and enjoying its benefits, Jose, constitutes discrimination against the more than 4 million immigrants attempting to appropriately complete the citizenship process.
According to Rico, illegals deserve the reduced rate because they “work really hard.” For any college student, hard work should be a requisite, not basis for preferential treatment.
Protesters were not satisfied with voicing their unfounded criticism in a public venue, opting to hold their rally on the Wake Tech campus. When continuous requests to disperse went unrecognized, staff was forced to call the police. Rico was one of the five arrested for trespassing.
The rest of the group, apparently not willing to give up the misguided fight, continued protesting alongside a nearby highway.
If any other group of criminals demanded their infractions be overlooked, its members would be met with extreme derision. When those who flout our immigration laws do it, members of both political parties bend over backwards to accommodate them.
