(CNSNews.com) – Government-approved school meals as a model for the family dinner table?
Responding to concerns that students are throwing away the healthy food on their cafeteria trays, the U.S. Department of Agriculture acknowledged that adapting to the changes “may be challenging at first, as students are introduced to new flavors and foods in the cafeteria.”
But the government also says parents can help school make the taste-transition easier:
“We know that many parents are already making changes at home to help the whole family eat healthier,” the USDA blogged on Monday. “We recommend reviewing school menus with kids at home and working to incorporate foods that are being served at school into family meals as much as possible.”
A recent video produced by high school students in Kansas mocked the healthy school lunches, showing young athletes fainting from starvation. “We are hungry,” they lip-synched, as one by one they topple over.

I'm wondering how so many of my ancestors survived all those years without the government telling us what to eat?
And to think they were even able to have children and raise them to have children. How did they do it?
Your right they should do away with school lunch programs because the government give food stamps to feed the family so a parent should be able to pack a lunch for their children like my mother did if I didn't like the cafeteria food.Plus who the hell is that ugly monkey Moochella to tell anyone what to eat when she has that big fat ass.
All the Goverment is doing is takeing over are kids lives If I had any kids in goverment schools I would pull them out they brain wash them and now they are trying to starve them they want to turn them in to qeers and gays they sneek Muslim in to the schools to teach them bad things and they teach them all about sex in kindergarden and hope they get pregnent in school so planed parenthood can give them abortion wake up people get them out of these school or you will be sorry they want to brain wash them and take over
