There was a time when there were standards for getting food stamps (now EBT cards). The food stamp program was designed to help families with the necessities. You couldn’t buy anything you want with food stamps.
When my oldest son worked at a grocery store, he was indignant when a woman came through the checkout line with foods that were not permitted to be purchased with food stamps. She protested to the manager. He let it pass. What does he care? He’ll get his money no matter a food-stamp holder purchases.
More than 45 million people – 15 percent – are on food stamps. That’s about one-sixth of the population. A general rule of economics is, “The more money you throw at a program, the more you get of it.” Is it any wonder that obesity is America’s number-one health problem? Maybe Mayor Bloomberg should be looking at EBT cards as the problem for obesity and not Big-Gulp drinks.
It’s now worse than this, at least in Massachusetts. “If you are a tax payer in Massachusetts, you get to fund EBT cards for those who want to buy tattoos, manicures, body piercings or porn.” The legislature had the good sense to stop the madness, but it seems that Governor Deval Patrick had other ideas.
“According to the Boston Herald, which first reported the veto, the governor berated the legislature’s stab at banning the purchase of specific items like manicures, tattoos, guns, porn, body piercings, jewelry, and bail by saying the move was ‘political grandstanding’ at a time when such reforms are already on track elsewhere.”

My personal experience in the checkout lines at Sams Club & Costco indicate that the abuse of SNAP (foodstamps) is widespread and growing. I know from personal experience that folks on Medicare/Medicaid enjoy luxuries that they would never pay for out of their own hard earned money but who freely waste mine. I know a number of people who are living off disability where they either don't need or don't deserve it (i.e., they are as capable of working as I am). When honest, law abiding citizens are surrounded by waste, fraud and abuse of their hard-earned money, they sometimes say things they might otherwise regret. You go to work putting an end to the abuse and I will go to work trying to improve communication skills! BTW – "prostetutes" is spelled "prostitutes".
Stealing is stealing, if you take welfare money from the goverment, you are receiving stolen property!!!
Hand up is what is needed not hand outs!
Americans are some of the most generouse people in the world, but it works better if they choose to give not have it taken!

Duval Patrick is the man who replaced Mitt Romney. If Romney were still Governor in Massachusetts, he would have done the same thing. Romney is a RINO. Electing Romney is tantamount to electing an unknown form of Barack Obama. We need a REAL CHOICE this fall!
So, you have any suggestions that would help? Even if you did, it wouldn’t do any good, because we had a few decent choices before, and look what happened. Romney is the only one that the demoncraps couldn’t bully out of the race, so he is what we have, and if we want this current Disaster, Disease, Infection, Traitor, out of office, I”d suggest that we cast our votes for Romney, he is what we have, and we have to start somewhere to clean up the mess that has been made. You may not like him as well as Ron Paul, or someone else, but no vote, or a written in name at the ballot box will only be one more valuable vote lost, thrown away, and then given to this Enemy of the United States!!! You had better think long and hard before wasting or giving your vote to this Evil which is infecting and destroying us as of now! I would prefer Allen West, or Condi Rice or anyone else, but since I am left with only one choice, I have to take it and hope for, and then make the best of it that one can do. At least, with this man, Romney, we will not have a Racist Criminal Illegal Alien in Office! And as it is, Mormans are good and decent people. If you need anything to make you think better of Romney, look at his wife. She is a Lady, a REAL LADY, and this cannot by any means, be said of the current Bubble Butt who hates us and our flag and our nation! At least, these two love America, for they have become what they are today BECAUSE OF BEING ALLOWED TO LIVE IN AMERICA!!!!!!!
