A female black Arizona State University professor was thrown to the ground by a cop after allegedly jaywalking. After pulling her over, the cop then asked for her ID, which see refused to give. Finally, the professor was thrown to the ground by the cop (watch video above). Now the professor is the one being charged with a felony: assaulting an officer. According to Alane M. Roby, the defense attorney for Ore:
Professor Ore’s one crime that evening was to demand respect that she deserves as a productive, educated and tax paying member of society.
What do you think? Should Ore be charged with a felony? Or is it instead the officers who should be getting reproved for their conduct?
