The EPA never lets facts or sound science get in the way of its political objectives.
The latest fact-less pollution spewing from the EPA is hysteria over the supposed need to save us from “mercury” being emitted from American power plants.
Willis Eschenbach, writing in “Watts Up With That?” thoroughly shreds the EPA’s bogus claims about the dangers of us all dying from mercy poisoning in the near future.
Eschenbach did something EPA bureaucrats would never think of doing. He looked at scientific facts to reach his conclusions. How refreshing.
He discovered, for example, that U.S. power plants emit only 1% of mercury into the atmosphere. The ocean is the largest emitter of atmospheric mercury. Should the EPA ban the ocean? Other large emitters are lightly vegetated land areas, forests, volcanoes, and geothermal vents. Will Lisa Jackson ban these? Perhaps she should just ban the whole environment.
