Democrat Senators Blame Obama Administration For Benghazi

A new bipartisan Senate report is making headlines this week for its direct criticism of the Obama administration in regard to the 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

The terrorist plot killed four Americans and caused widespread damage during hours of violence and mayhem. Though White House sources repeatedly claimed the incident was rooted in organic outrage over an irrelevant YouTube video, the Senate Intelligence Committee report offered a different take.

“The attacks were preventable,” the committee found, “based on extensive intelligence reporting on the terrorist activity in Libya – to include prior threats and attacks against Western targets – and given the known security shortfalls at the U.S. Mission.”

The report is particularly harsh toward Hillary Clinton, who was serving as Secretary of State at the time. According to the panel, a communications failure between the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency was a major factor in creating an environment conducive to such a violent uprising. Furthermore, the report bashes the Defense Department for its failure to identify the threat in Benghazi, a hotbed of Islamic violence, especially on the anniversary of 9/11.

While many of the report’s findings are similar to the accusations of Obama’s political opponents, this bipartisan study is unique in its inclusion of both political parties. As more information becomes available, the evidence increasingly points to the culpability of this administration. Now, even those within his party are beginning to boldly announce such findings.

Though the report does not delve deeply into many specifics, especially the bungled response to the attack by White House representatives, it does indicate that both the FBI and CIA found out the incident was not sparked by “demonstrations or protests” at least six days before the administration made a statement to that effect.

The committee used ample evidence, including numerous accounts from witnesses, in compiling its report. While touting the bravery of individual agents who rushed to the aid of those under attack, an overarching theme of the report was the unpreparedness of federal agencies – specifically the State Department.

Just prior to the Benghazi attack, the report states that a number of security issues were in the area, signaling an increased threat of violence.

While the report sheds light on many aspects of the attack, there are still countless unanswered questions. According to North Carolina Republican Sen. Richard Burr, “it is not due to the Committee’s unwillingness to investigate, but the State Department’s intransigence.”

This anticipated report proves that this important matter is far from settled and, contrary to what Hillary Clinton claimed in her disastrous testimony, it does matter how and why this deadly attack was perpetrated against American citizens.

  1. Is it possible that bill was thinking of Hillary when he said, "I did not have sex with that woman ?

  2. They finally see the light?

  3. Linda From NY says:

I don't believe any of these democrats, why didn't they say anything when it first happen almost 2 years ago? It is because they know that the American people are fed up with the democrats and the lies?

So now they are trying to distance themselves from Obongo and Hillary that old hag, I don't believe nor do I trust the word of these democrats, vote all of them OUT on Nov 2014, I know I will vote

Your right now they open their mouths because elections are coming up.You see the press is more concerned with a traffic jam in Bridgegate but could care less of 4 Americans dying.

The 85 page report is available at… and is heavily redacted, pages 18 and 58 are blank.
Conclusion: The failures of Benghazi can be summed up this way: the Americans serving in Libya were vulnerable; the State Department knew they were vulnerable; and obama did nothing about it. The Intelligence Community does not collect intelligence about threats to our security in dangerous place so it can be ignored by senior decision makers. Nor should a Regional Security Officer's repeated warnings go unheeded. Yet, the intelligence and warnings from the field were met by obama with a deafening silence. The four Americans who perished in Benghazi deserved better from their country. Their families, who have been waiting over a year for promised justice and answers, are entitled to know the truth about what happened and why. It is our intent that the findings and recommendations outlined in this report will facilitate and inform other reviews, especially those conducted by congressional committees with specific jurisdiction over the State Department. We stand ready to assist those reviews in every way possible. Ultimately, we must ensure that all the facts about obama's actions prior to, during, and after the attacks are brought to light for the American people to judge for themselves. The families of those murdered in Benghazi deserve the truth, and all of our intelligence, military, and diplomatic professionals who serve overseas in dangerous places are entitled to have confidence that the errors of Benghazi will not be repeated.
Page 42 states that the FBI's investigation into the individuals responsible for the Benghazi attacks has been hampered by inadequate cooperation and a lack of capacity by foreign governments to hold these perpetrators accountable, making the pursuit of justice for the attacks slow and insufficient. As a result, key information gaps remain about the potential foreknowledge and complicity ofLibyan militia groups and security forces, the level of pre-planning for the attacks, the perpetrators and their involvement in other terrorist activities and the motivation for the attacks. ***redacted paragraph*** The Libyan Government has not shown the political incentive or will within its own country to seek out, arrest, and prosecute individuals believed to be associated with the attacks. Furthermore, the security environment in Benghazi remains extremely dangerous for individuals wishing to work with the U.S. Government on its investigation into the attacks. In testimony before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies, then-FBI Director Robert Mueller noted that as many as 15 individuals supporting the investigation or otherwise helpful to the United States have been killed in Benghazi since the attacks, underscoring the lawless and chaotic circumstances in eastern Libya. It is unclear whether their killings were related to the Benghazi investigation.135
RECOMMENDATION: The U.S. Government must swiftly bring the attackers to justice, in spite of the unwillingness or lack of capacity of the Libyan government to assist in this effort.
135 Robert S. Mueller lll, Director of the FBI, Testimony before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science, May 16, 2013.
I do not like the excuse of “we can not tell you anything, because of an ongoing FBI investigation.” It will be ongoing until he leaves office! This NGR has been proven to be a member of al Qaeda. Nobody knows what Obozo’s plan is. After he is out of office (the fastest way possible) we must torture him (preferably by water-boarding) to find out what this MFNGR wanted to do!!!

  5. Edwardkoziol says:

They may blame him but I'll guarantee nothing will be done to bring Obutthole and that fat old dyke Hitlary to justice.Nero fiddled while Rome burned and Obango slept while 4 Americans died.

  6. If this report doesn't effect the imminent arrest, trial, conviction and execution of Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama for TREASON (aiding and abetting an enemy) then TREASON might as well be removed from the U.S. Constitution.
