Cruz And Paul Betrayed By Own Party

Rand Paul Ted Cruz 300x200 Cruz and Paul Betrayed by Own Party

It’s been a rough last few years for the Grand Old Party. From utter vilification during the Bush years to two consecutive presidential election defeats, the Republican Party could use a little pick-me-up.

That’s why it seems so baffling that the two most prominent and accomplished rising stars of the GOP, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, have been getting so much hate from their own party.

This dynamic senatorial duo has been doing most of the heavy lifting for their party as of late. Sen. Cruz has really had his chance to shine staring down the Obama Administration on gun control. Now he’s at it again, throwing down the gauntlet to Vice President Joe Biden, challenging him to an hour-long debate on gun control. His fearless efforts have even earned him the praise of his enemies.

Sen. Paul, meanwhile, has served splendidly as the face of the resistance to the current Administration. Whether providing the only solid rebuttal to the State of the Union address, grilling then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the Benghazi debacle and suggesting she be removed from her position, or bringing the whole country to a standstill in a valiant filibuster against drone assassinations of American citizens without due process, Rand Paul has solidified his position as the de facto leader of the Republican Party. He may very well be the foremost GOP contender for a 2016 run for President.

Unfortunately, it seems like there’s no rest for these two weary leaders. Not even from their own party. Cruz has earned ire from fellow Republicans who wish out loud that he would just shut up and stop doing what he does best, never mind that the prevalence of the silent strategy is the reason such bold stands are needed in the first place. Even Paul, the GOP’s unequivocal workhorse, has faced ambushes from his own supposed comrades for standing up for the very principles the whole party is theoretically behind.

The Republican Party purports to stand for limited Constitutional government, personal responsibility, liberty, and a strong family. When said party bites the very hands that lead them into battle for those exact principles, something is clearly wrong. The GOP no longer represents the will of its patriotic American supporters, and is no longer deserving of their support.

How can they be betrayed by a party that never was? At least for the last decade.

Time to start a REAL Republican party. Not perpetuate a fake one, that never was….

  2. Linda A. From NY says:

It is obvious that the GOP can not be trusted, these two honorable men Ted Cruz and Rand Paul should run on the Independent Ticket. These two brave men have both stood up against this traitorous administration and were not afraid to back down and for their own party to betray them is wrong.

They do not need this GOP and who will not stand with them when most needed, they can do better as Independents, of course that is just my opinion I could be wrong, but I think they could do better on their own working together.

    • Edwardkoziol says:

Linda I think both these men our great for the republican party but Cruz was born in Canadaand he is not black so he has no chance of becoming president.Maybe a strictly conservative party is needed to run candidates against the democraps and the pussy party republicans.

      • Linda A. From NY says:

        Hi Edward,
I did not know that Cruz was not born here, what a shame this guy has all the right stuff to be a leader. But I am still hopeful of Rand Paul, he is all American and most of all a decent man.

After 2 lost presidential elections, with conservatives screaming and yelling over the stupid remarks and arrogant actions made by the elites in the GOP party, did you think it would be any different now? They haven't changed, so they choose the wrong people to bring down because they decide to do something on their own. We will never win again until the party gets new leadership. We should have won both times but the leadership would not listen to us. Now they are going to take down the two who have made some headway. Reince and his cohorts need to get out of the way and let others lead. I don't remember a more poorly run campaign than Mitch's. It wasn't his fault. Every time he did something right they stopped him, so his campaign looked and sounded like a circus. Nothing really going on, didn't stick to a point and never got to make a point. Leadership needs to go over all the old campaigns to see what was right and what went wrong.

  4. This has been a one party govt for many years. The dems and repubs pretend to fight over this stuff, but they are almost all in on it and pretty much know the outcome before they start. Notice how the repubs have always had the ability to shut down most of what barry & co. are shoving down our throats, but they sit there and do nothing. Complicit, complicit, complicit. It's so obvious that they are biding time until none of this stuff matters any more or just goes away on it's own (i.e. TSHF). Same with Fast an Furious and Bengazi, they just keep putting it off while giving us the one finger salute. They can't do anything about this stuff without going to jail themselves. Agenda 21, here we come…

Please PEOPLE and the Republican Party let us NOT make the same stupid mistake that the Democrats did when they put into office an illegally eligible President. Cruz is NOT eligible either, no more then obama is. Cruz was not born on American soil. OBEY the United States Constitution! He may be a great guy. Cruz may have a lot of the right ideas that a True American should have but he is not eligible to run for President or Vice President.
Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where his parents, Eleanor Darragh and Rafael Cruz, were working in the oil business. His father was a Cuban immigrant to the United States during the Cuban Revolution. His mother was born and reared in Delaware, in a family of Irish and Italian descent. Cruz's father became a U.S. citizen in 2005.

  6. BarleyWheets says:

    - US Constitution, Article II, Section 1 – No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.
Presidential Oath: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
If you were not born on American soil … your allegiance to America is and will be in serious question.

  7. Edwardkoziol says:

Could you expect something different when the republicans turn to becoming the pussy party all RINOs.

  9. Absolutely right. Those RINO's don't deserve our support! Cruz and Paul are two of our supporters that do deserve our respect and support. I email them and thank them every time I hear of them being yelled at or any other act of disrespect for standing up for us. We should all be doing that! We need to let those know who are doing the right thing. It doesn't take much time to send an email folks. God Bless Cruz &Paul!

  10. GOD BLESS both of you, Cruz and Paul. YOU ARE HEROS TO THOSE OF US WHO STAND FOR TRUTH, JUSTICE AND THE AMERICAN WAY. Thank you for being such fabulous confident REAL men. Your gifted fortitude is a joy to we the people. Keep doing it. We love you… We need you…We are so humbly thankful.
