The Obama administration is buying votes in Kenya, charges Rep. Chris Smith, R-N.J., the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health.
WND reported Monday the Obama administration has funded $23 million of U.S. taxpayer dollars through the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, to support the passage of a Kenyan constitutional referendum Aug. 4 that would increase access to abortions and authorize the operation of Islamic law tribunals in the East African nation.
In a statement issued by his office yesterday, Smith charged that several Kenyan groups receiving USAID money had been given specific quotas built into their USAID contracts requiring the grantees to each produce 20,000 "yes" votes for the Aug. 4 referendum.
"A chart produced by USAID’s inspector-general shows that 60 sub-recipients got funds for activities that include transportation, fuel, road shows, voter ID and ‘yes’ vote ‘buy in’ for professional elites," Smith said.
"It is unconscionable that U.S. taxpayers are subsidizing a massive one-sided political campaign thinly disguised as ‘civic education’ in another sovereign nation," the congressman said. "It is a very bad precedent and it is illegal."

Obama continues to increase the deficit by extending another 99 weeks of unemployment compensation and recriminates Republicans (who can not stop this bill on account that they are the minority) of only caring for the wealthy and they are heartless for the people who will not be able to have money to cover for their basic needs.
Obama is again posturing and again blaming Bush and the Republicans for his own incompetence. I think this good for nothing really thinks his policies are working, and it is just a matter of time and increasing the deficit one fold again. I believe Obama has chosen very well the people who are in his administration who are promoting his corrupt anti-American agenda. The lap dogs Reid, and Pelossi want to also destroy this country, otherwise, how can they be so stupid. I agree also that the self-hating George Soros needs to be investigated by whoever is in the committe of racketeering, manipulating elections in Congress, if they have cajones.
We can try to impeach Obama right now by demanding our representatives in Congress to impeach him, but would any of them listen? I doubt it. We have already protested Obama Care, Cap and Tax, and the continuous massive spending that We The People have not approve, and they did not listen. Obama pushing Sharia Law in Kenya is a prelude to this idiot pushing Sharia Law in the United States. How can one individual keep breaking the law, doing things that are against our constitution, and still remain in office as the President of the United States? Is it because those in Congress are wimps and afraid to act responsibly? They are more interested in their political position than they are with the welfare of this country or its people. To the Americans that have common sense and some intelligence go and VOTE this November. There is such a thing as a conditioned response. Here’s an example: Leftists call conservatives “racists.” Conservatives cower and stutter some defense. Leftists call conservatives “racists” some more. Conservatives cower some more. Question: How do you think you break this pattern?
We’ve seen this again with the recent vitriol spewed by NAACP head Ben Jealous (a fitting last name). Speaking at the NAACP convention in Kansas City, Jealous accused the Tea Party of, take a guess . . . cue the “Jeopardy!” music . . . “racism.” Just as predictably, many conservatives are running around trying to convince everyone that, by gum, they really are swell guys. No, really. I’m not a racist. I don’t beat my wife. I don’t kick my dog. I eat my organic vegetables and drive a Prius.
Look, why don’t we just save everyone the trouble? Every time a conservative renders an opinion, we can just play a recording with a little weaselly voice screeching, “You’re a wacist! You’re a wacist!” (Barney Frank style) followed by a music video featuring The Cowering Conservative — I mean, 1950s-style, duck-and-cover footage with the tune and all.
And such conservatives abound. Oh, don’t get me wrong, conservative brethren, I love ya’, man. But, frankly, too many of you are saps. You really don’t get it. People who advocated welfare reform in the 1990s were accused of being “racist.” If you’re for border control, you’re “racist.” If you criticize Obama, you’re “racist.” If you oppose quotas, you’re “racist.” If you say that, be it nature or nurture, there are differences among groups, you’re “racist.” If you want English to be the national language, you’re “racist.” The word has become meaningless, only used to stifle and stigmatize opposition. And if calling you a heretic worked in that regard, the left would do that. And if calling you a Fig Newton worked, they would do that.
Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day I went downtown and into a shop. I was only there for about 5 minutes, and when I came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. I said to him, 'Come on, man, how about giving a retired person a break'? He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a 'Nazi.' He glared at me and wrote another ticket for having worn tires. So I called him a 'doughnut eating Gestapo.' He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he wrote a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him the more tickets he wrote. Personally, I didn't care. I came downtown on the bus, and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said, 'I ♥ Obama.' I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired. It's important to my health.
I can't imagine how Obama fooled the so called clever Americans to get himself elected President of such a powerful country is beyond me. I never knew that there are so many stupid Americans.
