Rand Paul Says Eugenics Is A Developing Threat

Eugenics, the process of selecting which people should be allowed to reproduce based on any number of physical characteristics, was a key component in the founding of Planned Parenthood.

Millions of aborted babies later, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) believes that the barbaric practice is poised for a comeback.

Appearing in Virginia Monday to support gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli, Paul expounded on the basis for his fear.

He addressed a crowd at Liberty University, saying that “much of your potential — or lack thereof — can be known simply by swabbing the inside of your cheek.”

Combined with America’s permissive attitude toward abortion, he said that such technological advances could usher in a renewed focus on weeding out undesirable members of society.

“Are we prepared to select out the imperfect among us?” he asked.

Though no empirical evidence shows that scientists are re-examining eugenics in earnest, a recent increase in interest regarding gender-selection abortions might pave the way for even more intrusive means of deciding who should have an opportunity to be born.

Cuccinelli also addressed his concern for the unborn, explaining that he has “been attacked rather vigorously for being a proud pro-life candidate for governor,” noting that an individual cannot “get any other rights to defend if you’re not born.”

The appearance was unsurprisingly denigrated by the left, for which abortion is a political sacrament. Democratic Party of Virginia spokesman Brian Coy attempted to portray the event as an effort to reach out to the extreme right wing of the GOP.

“Ken Cuccinelli has given up on the mainstream,” he claimed.

When the concern for the huge number of children whose lives are snuffed out in the womb is described as a partisan position, those rational Americans intent to remain a self-described moderate might want to reconsider their allegiance.

Reagan’s Leftist Daughter Shamed By Twitter Conservatives

Given the seemingly endless misrepresentations and outright lies surrounding the ObamaCare roll out, even those who once firmly supported the government-mandated healthcare plan have begun speaking out against it.

Former actress Patti Davis, the left-leaning daughter of conservative icon Ronald Reagan, was among those criticizing the law Monday on Twitter.

“Could the president please explain why I and others are losing our health ins. plans?” she wrote on the social media site. “Wasn’t supposed to happen!”

The site’s active conservative population quickly leapt into action, reminding Davis why her own father railed against big government liberalism during his illustrious political career.

“Your father feared this would come,” one user wrote. “Clearly you didn’t listen.”

Another response offered the following food for thought: “Socialism’s less fun when you’re on the sharp end, isn’t it sweetie?”

Bombarded with scathing retorts, Davis ultimately deleted the original comment. Thanks to the permanence of the Internet, though, her words are recorded for anyone to see.

She is among countless leftists whose myopic view of their own ideology prevents them from seeing the truth until it is too late.

This is not Davis’ first criticism of Obama, however. Upset with his impermeable partisanship, she issued an open letter to him earlier this month in which she said she is “trying hard every day to learn from the man whose DNA runs through my veins.”

She then suggested that Obama “could try a little harder to learn from him too.”

Though it is certainly refreshing to see more and more leftists come to their senses in light of this disastrous administration’s attack on the American way of life, it is a shame it has taken so long to happen.

If only more people had listened to and heeded Reagan’s wisdom while he was president, we might not be longing for those prosperous years today.

Judge Rules Texas Abortion Restrictions Unconstitutional

Texas Map 2 SC

Since the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a woman’s right to murder her own child in the womb more than 40 years ago, leftists have relentlessly sought to expand that right in any way possible.

When Texas legislators voted earlier this year to impose very moderate restrictions on the barbaric practice, the pro-abortion crowd naturally cried foul. Those activists, it seems, have scored a recent victory with a U.S. district judge’s ruling that at least some aspects of the law are unconstitutional.

According to an order released Monday, Judge Lee Yeakel determined that the requirement of abortion providers to have hospital admitting privileges “does not bear a rational relationship to the legitimate right of the State in preserving and promoting fetal life or a woman’s health,” adding it “places a substantial obstacle in the path of a woman seeking an abortion….”

In his opinion, the judge concluded that “admitting privileges have no rational relationship to improved patient outcomes” and called the requirement “an undue burden” to women who want such procedures.

Along with another provision, the new condition was set to go into effect Tuesday.

Yeakel, a George W. Bush appointee, did not strike down restrictions on abortifacient drugs, though only because pro-abortion advocates have not yet made a strong enough case.

“At some point, the totality of incidental effects may become an undue burden,” he wrote, though “that threshold has not been met.”

The fact is that America has some of the most permissive laws on the planet regarding abortion. In California, for example, pregnant women can have their children ripped from their bodies by individuals who are not even doctors.

Texas legislators merely wanted to add a few safeguards to the process, not outlaw abortion whatsoever as some leftists have insinuated, and leftists celebrate the defeat.

Commenting on Yeakel’s decision, though, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz announced his intention to continue fighting for what he called “commonsense legislation to protect the health of women and their unborn children.”

The lawyer and favorite among Tea Party conservatives concluded that the restrictions are “constitutional and consistent with U.S. Supreme Court precedent protecting the life and health of the mother and child,” adding that he hopes “the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals will uphold Texas’ reasonable law.”

Obama To Spend $75 Billion For Compulsory Preschool

Millions of parents with children in the public school system are already worried about the leftist propaganda being promulgated between Kindergarten and 12th grade. Barack Obama, however, wants to put the U.S. even further in debt by forcing students to spend one more year within the walls of a government-controlled educational facility.

During the next fiscal year, Obama has stated his intention of spending $75 billion to make sure all 4-year-olds attend preschool. Those funds are in addition to the $20 billion our federal government already spends on such early learning programs.

According to Heritage Foundation Senior Education Analyst Lindsey Burke, the entire proposal amounts to even more government waste.

“We already have three quarters of four-year-old children enrolled in early education, preschool programs,” she explained, calling “the idea that federal government would spend $75 billion to create a large-scale government preschool program for all four-year-olds … incredibly misguided.”

She added that the federal government already funds “45 early education and childcare programs,” concluding that “there’s already pretty significant federal intervention and spending on early education.”

Federal forays into preschool, namely Head Start, have proven to be “utterly ineffective,” she explained, citing the fact that even the Department of Health and Human Services “has said in their evaluation that Head Start has no impact on children’s cognitive ability, the parenting practices, their access to health care, nothing.”

Furthermore, she said the program “is ineffective and just generally fails to serve the needs of low-income children,” who she said are the purported beneficiaries of the increased spending.

For the left, though, schools are less about education than they are about indoctrination. Giving the government even more access to the next generation — beginning at a younger age — will only aid in its propaganda mission.

NBC’s Scathing ObamaCare Report Mysteriously Disappears

As the controversies surrounding ObamaCare continue to multiply, even mainstream media outlets are beginning to hold the administration accountable. In an investigative report published Monday, NBC News revealed one of the biggest bombshells regarding the unpopular healthcare law to date.

The article offered detailed evidence proving that Barack Obama knew millions of Americans would not be able to keep their existing health insurance under the new healthcare mandates despite his clear claims to the contrary. Additionally, the report warned that up to 75 percent of those currently insured could be stripped of their current coverage — often with a hefty premium increase to boot.

Shortly after releasing the piece online, however, it was unavailable as the affiliated web address showed only an error screen. Given the constant failure of the ObamaCare enrollment site, an error in publishing an article about the law could be seen as a fitting tribute.

Unfortunately, this was no artistic statement on the part of NBC. The article was republished a short time later with a “publishing glitch” listed as the reason for its initial disappearance. The second version of the story, however, was noticeably missing an entire paragraph.

Perhaps the most critical few sentences in the entire article were removed for some reason, only to be added back when reports of the discrepancy began to surface.

Among the claims made in the temporarily missing passage is the fact that, despite Obama’s assurances in 2010 that existing policies will be protected by a grandfather clause, the Department of Health and Human Services restricted that allowance.

As of Tuesday morning, there were still few real explanations regarding the “publishing glitch,” though the circumstances surrounding it certainly lend themselves to speculation. When NBC News — by all accounts a media franchise friendly to the Obama administration — actually published a blistering exposé about him, it happened to be the only article taken down during the snafu.

Its reemergence with a suspiciously missing paragraph only creates more questions.

At this point, at least, the article is published in its entirety online. Though there is no evidence Obama or his minions had any role in the previous edit, the article itself shows he is not averse to lying in the pursuit of his goal.
