Obama’s Bloody Recipe For More Benghazis

Barack Obama 8 SC Obamas Bloody Recipe for More Benghazis

Gird your loins, America. President Obama intends to empty out Guantanamo Bay and send scores of suspected Muslim terror operatives back to their jihadist-coddling native countries. Goaded by anti-war activists and soft-on-terror attorneys (including those from Attorney General Eric Holder’s former private law firm), Obama announced Thursday that he’ll lift a ban on sending up to 90 Yemeni detainees home and will initiate other stalled transfers out of the compound.

This radical appeasement of Obama’s left flank is a surefire recipe for more Benghazis, more U.S.S. Coles and more innocent lives at risk.

A little more than three years ago, the White House assured Americans that it would not release Yemeni detainees back to their al-Qaida-infested land. In January 2010, international press outlets reported that at least a dozen former Guantanamo Bay prisoners had rejoined al-Qaida to fight in Yemen. Yemen was also the terror training ground of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the jihadist who attempted to bomb Northwest Airlines Flight 253 on Christmas Day in 2009.

Abdulmutallab reportedly told the FBI there were countless al-Qaida trainees like him in Yemen. The CIA knew of Abdulmutallab four months before his bombing attempt and was aware of him meeting with terrorists in Yemen a month before his arrest. British media also reported that counterterrorism and intelligence officers were “aware of several British nationals and British residents who had trained at camps in Yemen’s ‘ungoverned spaces.’”

From the very first days of Obama’s presidency, Americans in Yemen have been endangered. In late January 2009, the U.S. Embassy in Yemen came under gunfire. American diplomatic staff had been warned of a pending attack. That same month, two former Yemeni Gitmo detainees, Said Ali al-Shihri and Abu Hareth Muhammad al-Awfi, released a video flipping America the bird.

Hobby Lobby Asks Court To End Birth-control Mandate

Judge SC Hobby Lobby Asks Court to End Birth control Mandate

In the most prominent challenge of its kind, Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. asked a federal appeals court Thursday for an exemption from part of the federal health care law that requires it to offer employees health coverage that includes access to the morning-after pill.

The Oklahoma City-based arts-and-crafts chain argued that businesses — not just the currently exempted religious groups — should be allowed to seek exception from that section of the health law if it violates their religious beliefs.

The arguments Thursday centered on the Green family, founders of Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. and a sister company, Christian booksellers Mardel Inc. An eight-judge panel peppered both sides with questions about whether the contraceptives mandate is an undue burden on the Greens’ religious belief.

The Greens contend that emergency contraception is tantamount to abortion because it can prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in the womb. They also object to providing coverage for certain kinds of intrauterine devices.

Hobby Lobby’s lawyer argued that the Greens shouldn’t face fines for not complying with mandatory contraceptive coverage simply because their business makes a profit. The stores are a “profit-making company, yes, but also a ministry,” Kyle Duncan argued.

IRS To America: Your Emails Are Ours

Build It IRS Will Come SC IRS to America: Your Emails Are Ours

Two of the headline scandals that have hit the Barack Obama administration in recent days could be about to come together – the IRS and the invasion by government of private communications.

At least that’s the way it looks, based on a report from the activist group ACLU, where staff attorney Nathan Wessler recently wrote that the most feared federal agency believes it has the right to access private emails.

The recent scandals are creating a huge wall for the Obama administration in its efforts to move its agenda forward. In brief, Congress is investigating now why the IRS deliberately targeted conservative and tea party organizations over the last three years with what some recipients have described as harassment when they applied for a tax status.

Secondly, the Department of Justice has been gaining access to journalist’s telephone records without telling them when it suspects a leak of information to the media.

Now comes the report from Wessler, who explained that the IRS long has held the position that it can obtain and read a person’s emails – essentially without permission, without a warrant and without even notification.

What Scandals? Obama Tries Tacking To Terror, Drones And Gitmo

Barack Obama between flags SC What scandals? Obama tries tacking to terror, drones and Gitmo

Nice try by President Obama to change the national subject of intense public discussion from his serial scandals to his war — no, wait — he prefers “fight” against terrorism.

In an hour-long speech of nearly 7,000 words, interrupted by a persistent heckler, the former Real Good Talker reminded his audience at the National Defense University, whose mission is to study war, that the United States has “constitutional principles” that have survived many wars during more than two centuries. No kidding.

And that “having fought for our independence, we know a price must be paid for freedom.”

Strange words indeed coming out of the mouth of an alleged constitutional law lecturer and president whose Internal Revenue Service has been illegally targeting and intimidating Americans of a certain contrary political persuasion.

Or whose F.B.I. has been checking the communications of professional journalists despite the First Amendment and labeling one of them a criminal co-conspirator in order to access his private communications and his parents’ home phone.

None of which this chief executive admits to knowing anything about because he’s apparently out of the loop on everything except the successes of SEAL Team 6.
