“America Is Not A Christian Nation.” Oh Really?!

Bible and Flag America Is Not A Christian Nation. Oh Really?!

How many times are we going to allow the godless to dictate where our country is going?

It is time to stop the slide that was started by candidate Obama in 2007. Since that time, it has become more and more apparent that President Obama is not a Christian, regardless of how many different church services he attends for public consumption. He has made it painfully evident that he would side with the Muslims if a war broke out between Christianity and Islam.

It is happening today all around the world. Only it is not a war; it is a slaughter of innocents. And the Obama administration has been quiet even as thousands of Coptic Christians are being defiled and slaughtered in Egypt and other countries we support in the Middle East. When Obama went to the UN to speak, did he utter one word condemning the slaughter of innocent Christians in Muslim countries? NO. He did, however, have the temerity to blame the slaughter in Benghazi on some third rate internet film that was produced some 6 months before the incident in Benghazi, completely ignoring the Muslims who defiled and murdered our Ambassador there. There are two religions that are growing at a rapid rate around the world, not counting mandatory pregnancies. Those two religions are Catholicism and Christianity. There are more than one billion Catholics in the world and almost 700 million Christians. Now we have the defunct Washington Post attempting to dispell the “myth” that the United States of America is a Christian nation.

Charles C. Hayne has written “Dispelling the myth of a ‘Christian nation’” for the Washington Post. The article begins:

Culture warriors, pseudo historians and opportunistic politicians have spent the last several decades peddling the myth that America was founded as a ‘Christian nation.’ The propaganda appears to be working. A majority of the American people (51 percent) believes that the U.S. Constitution establishes a Christian nation, according to the State of the First Amendment survey released last month by the First Amendment Center.

However, what is left out is a firm assumption that America existed as a Judeo-Christian nation long before the Constitution was drafted and enacted into law in 1789-91 when the Bill of Rights was enacted. Also, polls show that some 86% of people in this country believe in a Supreme Being, not counting Muslims.

You can read the article for yourself. I did and found it meandered in and out of the Constitution and the minds of the founders. What is important is that God and the belief in God was the reason the 13 original colonies were founded. The actual break from King George was predicated on the imposition of an unjust tax, but behind it all was the realization of why they left England in the first place. They were indentured and required to worship the Church of England.

The Church of England was founded by the King of England because he disagreed with the Pope’s authority. When he made his religion mandatory, Christians decided to flee and set up their own place to live and prosper; they weathered the oceans and came to America.  When they drafted the Constitution, the founding fathers wanted to make sure that no government would ever have the ability to make the people worship anything except what “We The People” wanted to. That is why the ultimate power rests with the people and not the government.

Any government that acts in a tyrannical manner can be removed by the will of the people. Regardless of how powerful or “well liked” a president is, he can be removed from office if he violates the will of the people. That is the beauty of living in a Democratic Republic, which has built-in protections a pure Democracy does not. So when you look around the world for a strong central government, look to see one where the power rests with the people and not the government. It is not enough to have a Democracy; the power has to remain with the people.

If the power remains with the people, then their Constitution will protect them from the Government establishing its own religion or belief system and cajoling, nudging, or demanding its people to believe in what the government says “is best for you”. The absence of belief is atheism. Atheism does not stand for something; it is the absence of something. It is time for our nation to stand up and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Our Constitution protects the rights of the minority.  It does not protect the right of the minority to dictate to the overwhelming majority of the country. Tyranny of the minority is even worse than imposing the will of the majority. Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and blessed by God. If you read the Constitution with that in mind, you will be able to see it. It sets us apart from the rest of the world and guarantees that our form of government will prevail. Read it, believe it, and live it.

  1. John Careccia YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY PSYCHOTIC and MUST be LOCKED UP in a Psychiatric Hospital, put on Anti-Psychotic medications and given ECT for the SAFETY of SOCIETY!!!!

    America IS NOT a Christian Nation and IT IS UN CONSTITUTIONAL for it to be ANY RELIGIOUS NATION!!! Then ALL RELIGIONIST ARE PSYCHOTIC!!! For the belief in God/s IS a BIZARRE DELUSION and Religion IS a PSYCHOSIS!!!!

    Christians are and ALWAYS have been MURDERS and a MENACE to a CIVILIZED Society!!!

    • you are a Fool, one day you will wind up in Hell when you die and then you will realize that their is a God and it will be too late. Go ahead and believe your own lies, satan is real and so is God.

    • Edwardkoziol says:

      Hitler was also a nut job like you butthead

    • Seeks_the_truth says:

      Which is it that bothers you more, that people have a belief in God or that you haven't found that peace yet?
      America is a Christian Nation no matter how hard you try to convince otherwise. You make the comments about robbers, rapists, murderers and so on but fail to realize where these morals came from that made these actions wrong.
      What makes stealing or murder wrong? The Bible. The word of God.
      What makes rape or any other 'crime' wrong? The Bible. The word of God.
      While you try to argue we are not a Christian nation, you use the very reasons that show we ARE one.

      You really need to get a better education. Hitler was not a 'christian'. He was actually Jewish with a hate for his own.
      Civilized society is ONLY civilized BECAUSE of the teachings of God through the Bible.
      You really should look into what you were denied by God that made you so hateful. You can have peace if you confront your anger.

  2. This is a Christian nation the problem is we have allowed to many ungodly religions into our beautiful
    Country which we now need to kick out. Impeach that ungodly communist Muslim out of out White House

  3. MuslimLuvChrist says:

    When asked about immoral issues taking place in our country. My ‘opinion’ doesn’t matter any more than your ‘opinion’ does. It is OK for us to have different opinions as long as we are rooted in the same principles. And herein lies America’s problems. When we are no longer rooted in the same principles, corruption seeps in and begins to divide and conquer through outlets such as the media and public schools.

    Leaders will say “We are not a Christian nation.” They then complain about the government that will not be ruled by Law because they do not believe in common law (God gave government through Moses – Exodus 18:21).

    In their confusion, they blurt out the truth: They would rather listen to man’s 10,000 commandments than to God’s Ten Commandments, which only produce liberty when you love God with your whole heart, mind, soul, and strength.

    The unprincipled in America are at war with God and His Law, which commanded we should not kill, commit adultery, steal, lie, or covet. They seem to forget that “Wherever law ends, tyranny begins”… and tyranny is what you are dealing with today because most people do not know their history. America, how is it that the left (as it is called) knows how to lie better than the right knows how to tell the truth?

    The remedy, know your history: The University of Houston political science professors searched to find where the Founding Fathers chose their ideas:
    They assembled 15,000 writings from the era of the founders.
    They researched for 10 years, isolated 3,154 direct quotes, and identified the source of the quotes:
    8.3 percent were quotes from Baron Charles de Montesquieu;
    7.9 percent were quotes from Sir William Blackstone;
    2.9 percent were from John Locke;
    34 percent of their quotes came directly from the Bible – and when researching where Montesquieu, Blackstone, and Locke got their ideas, they found that theirs came from the Bible as well.
    0 percent from the the “religion of peace” teaching cutting non-believers heads off and eating their hearts in the streets.

    Here is the correlation between the Constitution and the Bible concerning America’s Christian heritage:
    Separation of powers: Jeremiah 17:9
    Immigration laws: Leviticus 19:34
    President must be natural born citizen: Deuteronomy 17:15
    Witness and capital punishment: Deuteronomy 17:6
    Three branches of government: Isaiah 33:22
    Tax exemptions for churches: Ezra 7:24
    Republicanism: Exodus 18:21

    So before we take any recommendations from this “religion of peace”, can we wait a couple hundred years of it not teaching cutting non-believers heads off and eating their hearts in the streets.
