Donkey 2 SC AFL CIO Registers 450,000 Voters From Union Homes

WASHINGTON (OfficialWire) — The AFL-CIO says it has registered more than 450,000 new voters from union households over the past 18 months, part of an ambitious push to swell the ranks of Democratic-leaning voters and help President Barack Obama win reelection.

The tally includes about 68,000 new voters in Ohio — one of the most contested battleground states this year — and thousands of other union-friendly voters in swing states like Colorado and Nevada.

“That’s an amazing number,” said Paul Beck, a political science professor at Ohio State University. “In an era of declining union membership, one wouldn’t think there would be many new targets out there.”

Obama defeated Republican John McCain by a little more than 200,000 votes in Ohio in 2008 out of about 5 million votes cast in the state.

Voters from union households have traditionally favored Democratic candidates. That trend is expected to continue this year in light of high-profile efforts by Republican leaders to weaken collective bargaining rights in Ohio, Wisconsin, Indiana and other states.

Geez….that's a lot of new voters, very very strange!! Especially considering so many union jobs have been shipped out of the states! And considering unemployment is so high, not even counting the people who's unemployment ran out years ago! I would also think that anyone that was in a union had already been registered to vote years ago, so where did these new 'union' people come from??

The Democrats will do anything to win this election. I don't believe that huge number. The election office should be checking all those new registrations out. It sounds impossible to get that many. When Mr.O tells government contractors not to send out pink slips before the election in violation of the law, and the Dept of Labor will pick up the millions in court costs for them (our taxpayer dollars at work); you can bet your bippy that there will be a huge amount of voter fraud this election. Mr. O is very cocky and seems to know something is in the works for his re-election. Remember ACORN hasn't gone away even though we haven't heard from them in a while – and that's when they are most dangerous.
